Addressing the previous comments, my experience with HR was pretty good. They were friendly and professional.

The people on the floor were all quite friendly and helpful. If you need a job where you can just show up, make money and get through the day, Longview is great for that. If you care anything about efficiency, productivity, or pride in your work, prepare for a truly soul-sucking experience.

What bothers me about this company is that it could be such an amazing place to work if upper management would just listen to the people on the floor and make meaningful changes. People expressed to me that they either gave up on making suggestions, or were afraid to bring suggestions forward for fear of reprisal from the general manager.

some companies want that attitude and abuse as part of their culture. Does it make sense? NO. The executives only know this culture since thats what they know from Viking and truly believe that’s the way you run a company. They dont know anything different. There is no damage control. It is financially easier and interpersonally easier to simply manage the edges of the chaos than actually do anything about it. New hr person certainly does not care about employee morale fair treatment, actions that damage the company, or the cost of high turnover. gm turning a blind eye to the situation, where else is he failing to lead? there is a hr problem and a failure of leadership problem

Company with a culture of complete disregard for aviation safety and workmanship quality. Some managers will yell at employees who follow high standards and blackmail them by giving mindless and low-skilled tasks.

This place has about 50% employee retention rate but gets rid of good leaders who tried to change it for better.

If you have any standards and pride for your trade this place will crush it and shape you into an opinionless drone.

When I initially read the comments about Longview Aviation I thought that it should be a bad place to work. But, is not.
People are friendly. It is overall organized and well managed. 
Management are always willing to hear about improvements and trying to help employees to perform better and work safe. For the production team, the shifts are great. They provide to is a good equilibrium between work and personal life.

An absolute joy working with Longview.  Exciting times.  They have their challenges but for a new company not even 3 years old they are doing great.  Salary is very competitive, great management team, lots of career advancement opportunities and they always post available positions internally first. Would recommend to anyone interested in working with a fun, exciting company that puts their employees first.  Safe, fun work environment and the facility is excellent.

The days go by very fast, never a dull moment  and always something to do

The project is a unique and one of a kind. There are great people there but they seem to be quitting. Upper production Management is clueless. It’s like having to report to mister Magoo. Concerns and suggestions to improve the process are purely ignored. So much potential there but no answers about the longevity of the project. Micro managed like crazy now. They finally got rid of the horrible HR department which is a good thing.  
 
Good benefits, pays OK. Birthdays off paid. 

Worked at Longview for a long time. There is such a massive disconnect between the floor and management. Management team knows very little about what goes on and the project itself and only gauge progress by metrics and arbitrary milestones. They preach that employees are their best asset but refuse to listen to them. Pay is good though. 

Great team on the floor that are always willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge. Senior management is inexperienced and uses management techniques that were popular back in the 80's. The executive are MIA and are rarely if ever seen. This company really feels like an old boy's club. It is great if you are part of the in crowd, not so much if you are not.

Good team to work with .Always open door for talents. Longview treats all employees equally and fairly at work.Human  resources benefits and company policies are good. HR department and top management always open for suggestions and improvements. Company culture promotes team work and good vibes.
