The Administrative Assistant role at Loonie Times is a dynamic and multifaceted position that transcends conventional administrative boundaries. Started the job with hopes of a proper career and experience to apply.
Only within a year, I accepted that the current owner has zero knowledge of its own staffs capability, and disperses egregious tasks and demands.
Over 2 years with the company, my only saving grace were the rest of the staff and their support. for a company that's about making mascots for peoples entertainment, the workplace is bleak as a sweatshop.
Highly discouraged to socialize, which is understandable, but to an extent where you have almost no familiarity with or acquaintance with other staffs, and will have no other reason to speak with without being scolded by owner. Pretty much no work culture, as much as the owner calls its staff a family. High demand of work for very little return, and zero outlook on salary. During the pandemic, was gaslighted and threated position if not returned back to work. I requested assistance for the longest time since the workload was unreasonably heavy to a point of stress, and emergency, but was not given any priority or help, but was still expected to finish task.

The work itself was enjoyable, seeing something you drew come to life and the whole process surrounding that. 

There was honestly not much else positive, save for the poor souls that were roped into also working there --- they were all amazing and were the reason I stuck around for as long as I did. I was doing the work of a whole art squad ---- illustration (which I was hired for), but also website upkeep and assets, graphic design, and many other things that weren't in my wheelhouse, but were expected to do nonetheless. I literally had a mental breakdown from the sheer workload thrust upon me and constant pressure to get it all done in impossible timeframes and on top of that, when I literally had to take some time off for my mental and physical health caused by all this, I was made to make up all that time after returning.

No benefits whatsoever, bare legal sick days. No vacation for the first year and half hour, unpaid lunch. 

The working environment is very warm and friendly. Since the work pace is quite dynamic and the surroundings are pleasant, time goes by without even realizing it. From a job perspective, it’s both fulfilling and enjoyable, because at every stage of a project, especially at the end, we achieve results that make both the client and ourselves happy. Working in an environment where people are happy naturally boosts productivity.

Company events such as staff meetings also strengthen the sense of unity, allowing us to celebrate successes together in a meaningful way. On top of that, having a management team that is always solution-oriented and forward-thinking makes the workflow smoother while encouraging growth and development, helping us become an even more successful team.

I began at Loonie Times a while ago. Many of the warning signs were there but I was too eager to notice.
The Sculptors come in earlier than anyone else and are responsible for most of the sculpting and fabrication, and then other tasks like cleaning the entire workplace. 
The money was horrible, like a dollar or 2 above minimum wage.
Management was in your face constantly micromanaging every bit of your day. 
Workplace culture was non existent, you came in and worked and watched the clock until it was time to get out.
I didn't enjoy the job at all. I had more and more work dumped on me including late night rush jobs and constant revisions that kept me there for overtime which I wasn't paid. 
I'm so glad to have quit.

In my experience, the compensation did not adequately reflect the level of responsibility, workload, or effort required, which made it difficult to feel fairly valued. I also encountered poor organizational management, including unclear processes, inconsistent direction, and limited communication, which often led to inefficiencies and frustration in daily operations. Additionally, there was no clear path for career advancement. Expectations around growth were not well defined, and opportunities for professional development or internal progression were very limited. Over time, this made it challenging for me to see long-term growth or stability within the organization.

My experience at Loonie Times as a Production Coordinator has been nice. The team is supportive, collaborative, and always open to new ideas. I’ve learned so much about managing timelines, coordinating with different departments, and keeping production on track. It’s a fast-paced environment, but the leadership is approachable and helps you grow. A great place for anyone looking to build management skills. 

I worked as Admin Assistant at Loonie Times. Really nice place to work, friendly coworkers, supportive management. I learned more about team work at Loonie Times. The owner and production controller are always there to help and listens to their staff. Workload is always shared among the team members (it's never like one person has to do everything within the time limit). 

Very fun and relaxed work environment, you can learn a lot since you are able to ask other team members about almost every single details.
Very collaborative team , you can share your ideas as well as learning every day.
Projects are very fun to work on , this make the work time you have there very enjoyable.

As one who worked before and  after the company changed ownership it went from a fantastic place to work to a horrible place full of stress, spies and a complete lack of guidance.
 Not worth it at all.
