What is the best part of working at the company?
All of the wonderful people that I work with .They are the best ever we have a test that truly work together for the same goal , to make sure that all of are guest are treated with the up most Respect and to insure that are guests room are 100% complete cleanliness and above and beyond satisfactory.

Don’t really have a stressful part about working there

I would have to say conservative

Great place to work at so everyday seem like it’s not working your doing it like being around family

The team ! I love this hotel! Everyone here works long hours! And that says a lot!

Everything is great here! It's a shame when there is no work, but it's seasonal - that's how it is in all hotels...

Great atmosphere! Regular lunches, nice bonuses in the form of tasty treats for breakfast! Holidays and competitions!

Morning coffee, work, lunch break and work... I think it's like everywhere else

I truly loved my time as a Guest Services Supervisor at the Lord Elgin Hotel. It is a fantastic place to work if you enjoy a fast-paced environment and high standards of hospitality. The team is incredible. You work with professional, kind, and supportive colleagues who make even the busiest shifts enjoyable. Working in such an iconic, historic hotel in the heart of Ottawa is a unique and proud experience. I found the environment to be welcoming and growth-oriented.

Strong sense of belonging and community within the staff.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Handling customer service when the hotel is backed up / busy, mainly during summer months.

Very friendly and accommodating to your needs

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As a valet, a typical day during peak months involves lots of running around and managing the rush of guests every day. During off months the days can be slow.

every day isn't the same it can be dead for 5 hours and for the rest of the shift it will be crazy  busy .
everyday day i learn new thing new way to cook something . 
the management is great we know what we gone do like 2-3 day before if we having a party or group  to start the prep for that day .
my coworker are fun always ready to help when you forget or don't know something. 
the hardest part of the job i can say it the hours they are longs but the atmosphere make the day pas fast and fun

Company care guest service 
They focus very professional on the gust expectations!!

Daily work always try better results in production of kitchen & control of food cost.
Learned a huge amount of Cooking Knowledge & Managerial skill.
The Establishment has more helpful for employees.
Co-Workers were more friendly and supporting.


An environment worth knowing and very belonging. And I would recommend Lord Elgin Hotel because They are like a family over there and I truly felt  great been a part of them.

Don't need to say much. Really positive and great work environment all around. Management is helpful and everyone supports each other when needed. Would recommend this employer to anyone who enjoys the hospitality industry.

great service and the staff are fun to work with. The hotel is very clean and affordable with a prime location downtown. The management really cares about the staff and provide a positive environment to work in.
