This company has good intentions but definitely needed more time of planning. Everything is everywhere. Firstly, none of the managers have job descriptions so you never know who to contact for anything. I usually have to work my way through them until I can get an answer because most times they ignore your messages, especially when you are supposed to get paid and you didn’t. They have never made a pay day on time, I always have to ask DAYS later when I will be paid and then when I do get an answer DAYS later, they take their time sending my payment. NO company should have their staff running them down for their pay. Everything in this company is completely disorganized, you get shifts and then they cancel it last minute. You are often getting moved around from client to client due to shortage of staff. Often times staff is left alone with a client that needs more than one staff member. Management is never there for support and crisis situations are never dealt with right away. They schedule you outside your availability, or they will add a shift to your schedule the day of and not ask or notify you. Management will put random staff on the schedule, knowing that they actually had no coverage and when it is time to relieve the first set of staff often times were stuck because the staff members they put on the schedule didn’t know they had a shift and they were not notified due to extremely last minute additions. Most times I am walking into a shift blindsided because often times they don’t send the client information. I’ve had to walk into many shifts without even knowing the clients name due to my messages not being answered by management. PAY IS JUST NEVER NEVER NEVER ON TIME. EVER. Since working for this company I didn’t even know when was pay day because I was always waiting days for pay with no answers. 

Lotus is a joke. Management is a group of friends and they hire only friends to be management. They pay you months and weeks and days late or sometimes they don’t even pay you at all. They don’t send you information on the client so you’re walking in completely blind as to who the client is. They change the schedules without informing you, when you call and ask for help during crisis they don’t bother to answer or make you feel like the crisis is not serious. No company car! No prepaid visa! They treat employees like GARBAGE! They don’t have respect for any of them at all. Imagine expressing a constant issue and it never gets resolved. It’s the same problems over and over again and wonder why their turnover rate is so high. Let’s not forget to mention that they don’t even bother changing to help address the issues that are happening. You get harmed, they don’t care. You’re belongings are ruined by clients, they don’t care. The most selfish and disgusting company that I have ever worked for. When working your first shift expect to get more information from your coworker rather then your own management team because they won’t tell you anything!!! The positive reviews is probably management trying to save their selves. Save yourself the stress, the headache and whatever you can possibly think of because this place is not worth anyones time nor effort. Any job is better then here. Let’s all pray this place gets what they deserve and gets shut down. 

Lotus is the most disorganized company I have ever worked for. Management does not communicate with their staff. They take on high-risk clients who are required to have two staff assigned to them at all times and the  expect one staff to work alone. They do not provide consistent crisis training and  staff end up using various restraint techniques. You are never paid on time, the schedule is always changing, they tell you little-to-no information about the client you're working with, communication logs are not filled out consistently if they even exist for the client. They didn't even call my references or complete my records check. There are no psychologists or clinicians overseeing programming (unless it is a CAS client). They consistently expected me to stay past my shift end time and did not respect my availability. 

Disorganized. Lack of communication. They don't value you or respect you. They lie to you. Management gossips about other management members. They don't care about clients either not just the employees. They don't care about employees at all, seriously, not one bit. They don't respect client family wishes which is ridiculous considering the company is providing respite to the family. Every coworker I have worked with either quit due to company complications and/or had to obtain a lawyer or have come into contact with ministry due to their horrible actions and treatments. Instead of working on making the company better within what they have already, they're more focused on expanding which we all know that won't do anything for them, other than cause more problems on top of the problems they already have... which they won't even fix.

Zero communication between management and front line staff. Information withheld regarding being an independent contractor (so they don’t take taxes from your pay - that’s up to you). Lies regarding hourly pay until your first day when you’re notified you will be being paid 5-7 dollars less than agreed upon. Scheduling is done by staff without applicable knowledge, resulting in unreasonable  shifts/hours. Not a single one of my pay cheques we’re on time and when you aren’t paid - management won’t answer their phones or emails. 
There were no policies or procedures or even hand sanitizer in the residence. During the Covid-19 pandemic, you are expected to show up for work even if you are symptomatic. 

There is nothing good about this 'organization.' They mistreat all of their workers. They don't pay you on time, you have to remind them repeatedly to pay you. People quit daily because there is no communication between employees and management, unless you are being told to work. There is a complete lack of training. You get one shadow shift and then you are expected to work with children who have severe mental illness. They have you work one on one with clients who should have two workers with them (as per their file) they are short staffed constantly because no one wants to work there. This causes the clients to not have the support they require and the staff to be burnt out and forced to work overtime. 

I was hired immediately at my interview and I accepted the position based on the fact that I would be starting immediately. Over and month and a half later, I still did not get a confirmed schedule and was then asked to use my contacts and resources to drum up business. 

This company is poorly managed and does not have business in place to readily provide employment to qualified individuals. The communication with management was very vague and emails went weeks before a reply was received and direct questions about start dates and location of work were ignored. Overall very stressful experience 

Lotus is a great idea, however is run poorly. Management doesn’t train their staff on expectations, protocols or safety plans with clients. There is a lack of communication and support. Pay is often late and you have to hound management down for it. Management throws their untrained staff into the homes of individuals who need help. There is no guidance or team building. They are constantly hiring because they cannot keep staff.  

The Crisis Team has been an incredible experience. Strong and supportive leadership that pushes you to strengthen your skill set and become a better all around mental health worker. The calls can be intense with clients being verbally/physically aggressive, clients and families being in a panicked state, and occurring anywhere in the city. However, the team's focus on verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution has allowed us to keep a lot of families together. I can see myself working on this team for many years to come.  

This project is growing rapidly and I am so excited to be included in it.
