This is a reasonable place to work but its pretty dry and lacking in company culture. There are some demotivated people due to ever changing management initiatives from the head office in the US. Overall, there are skilled agreeable people to work with and enough interesting work to keep a person busy and learning over time. 

The downside is the office environment which is 100% open. You have to hear everyone's conversations all day which is distracting. If you get even one blabbermouth it can derail the whole office as there's nowhere to go to escape the noise. Most people are quiet and respectful (using IM to cut down on noise) but all it takes is one to ruin it for everyone. 

There is a distinct lack of company culture here. A few token events a year and some lunches but no sense of purpose or community here. 

Pay is lower than oil & gas industry but comparable to other industries. Benefits are reasonable. 

There was a distinct lack of professionalism from the HR department and they were painful to deal with. Luckily, there is little need to interact with them.

Worked at the place for 6 years. Managment was terrible the entire time. Seen alot of managers, supervisors, workers go through the door. The only thing they care about is production. They will treat you like a child and bully you around. Hr doesnt have a clue and neither does any of the management. No room for advancement and when there was it was usually out sourced as the company said they didn't have anyone qualified to do the position. The pay was decent but the union didn't really back you if there was an issue. Benifets were decent. Pension is decent. If you like people micromanaging you, this is the place for you. And hope you dont want time off cause it's almost impossible to get it and they will ask you to work every extra minute you have off.

My job was easy to learn and repetitive day to day. I enjoyed it for the most part but was not happy with how long training was taking to get let alone complete. Being part of the union was a big asset I enjoyed it very much, the only down side to it was I did not entirely agree with some of the decisions made too our plant. I was told I would achieve an advancement to a higher position and it was taking a lot longer than originally planned and I thought it was time to move on from this company.

Louis Dreyfus deserves better. 
The management at this site was pitiful. There was no training, management rarely leaves the office to check up on issues. Yelling and cursing was the norm. 
You did get a lot of hours but had no support from management. If the workers would be properly trained, most issues would have been dealt with independently. 
They did pay for lunch on train loading days once a week.
It could be a great place to call a career but management ruins it. 

a typical day at work would be greeting truck drivers  deliver stock and direct them to the back, allow them to pass thru the gates. Answering the phone, taking care of stock in the office & greeting. 
There was alot of talking going on in the office which distracted some other employees

I spent a lot of time running around setting computer/work stations up as well as technical issues ranging from hardware- software issues.
I updated the online databases on a daily basis.
The hardest part of the job was having to many managers asking me to do things and no one to really report to.

Good place to work,  company usually works Monday to Friday.   People is treated well and new jobs opportunities are search from inside first.   It is a stable company with good production volumes. Management team lead by example.

This place is the worst i have ever work for. Management are bunch of arrogant and back stabber you will ever met. Don't get paid much for what you do. They will fire you or make you quit your job for no reason when its slow there. Good luck if you wanna work there
