The management and ownership is absolutely horrendous. The owner and managers will yell at you for the smallest things; like breaking a plate/cup and not wearing high enough heels.
You are forced to pay for any food and drink mistakes. For example, if you accidentally punch in the wrong sandwich, if you want the correct one brought out to a customer, you must pay for the mistake one before the kitchen will make the new one. This goes for all food and drinks.
They rarely approve booked time off. You could ask for a weekend off months in advance, and they would not let you know if it was approved until the week before your time away, and then tell you if you don't come in that you will be written up. To expect someone to cancel a vacation they have obviously paid for months in advance is ludicrous. The reason behind not allowing booked time off is because they can not keep ahold of any staff for long enough, so if they allowed people to have a weekend off, the rest of the team would be so overworked.
The only redeeming quality about this place is the amount of tips you can make. But this is because you're there for 8+ hours a day. Even on these 8 hour days, you are only allowed to take a very quick break of only 15 minutes. On your break you have to eat your food as quick as you can and then go back to work, any spare time wasted is not allowed.

If you are positive, reliable, hard-working and high energy team players, Lous Grill will be one of the great options for you; you will find a great fit. 

Especially, if you are attending a school, working at Lous Grill will help you find a good balance and flexibility in your busy schedule. 

When you work at any place for living, we all know that it takes time and work to endure both physically and mentally. 
But when working at Lous Grill, one great advantage that you will find is the synergy of the teamwork that you can have with other employees to offset the hardship. 

Many co-workers working there have great personalities and emit positive vibes when they are working, which will eventually help you feel encouraged and have a strong sense of belongingness. 

Serving experience is an asset; and communication is very important
 (I would say even "Critical.") 
When communication is failed, it may cause you a huge frustration. 

Lastly, gratuity offered by Lous Grill is very competitive in its industry, and the general manager is logical and clear in his instructions.

If you have any type of mental health issues steer clear of this job, this job will put you down lower then you could ever imagine. The management is terrible, you are constantly getting yelled at for no reason. They go through staff so quick because nobody can stand to put up with the negativity that comes from this place. The tips are good and most of the staff is respectful it’s the management that need a reality check. I found myself laughing most of the time coming from a corporate job to a family owned restaurant thinking to myself if this was ever a food chain they would never make it because there so ignorant. Everything about this place is negative. Save yourself from the headache no one I mean NO one deserved to be disrespected in the way this job treats you. 

A typical day at work was always busy and I was constantly on the go. Most shifts went by quickly even though the hours were long. You were only given a 15 minute break no matter how long your shift was (4-10 hours), on the plus side I was always payed overtime. Lou's always had a great vibe and customers loved being there, great music, food, drinks, and service. Although things looked great from the outside management was quite poor. We were always under staffed and management felt a lot of stress on shift. We would get way too busy for the amount of space we had, loading servers with too many table to serve, often meaning the one or two managers on shift would have to help servers as well as serving their own tables.

Manger/owner bullies, manipulates and harasses young women. ( has lured multiple girls into his office so he can yell at them in private).
Can't get hours during the day, always worked from 6pm-2am.
Tips are divided unfairly, and/or not received.
Illegal policies (any accidentally spilled drinks/food is paid out in YOUR tips).
Required to sign an agreement that means you will wear short skirts/shorts/heels/makeup/revealing clothing. Threaten to send you home if you so much as wear the wrong bra.
If you like to know that you're being WATCHED at all times on cameras, by who the heck knows, then this is the place for you.

This is a great place to work if you like fast paced work. I very much did enjoy my time here but found that I would never be more than a floor manager, With all my managers being considerably younger than me and having little to know management experience I found that their priorities were a tad bit off during the stressful times. Lou's is a place to work were you'll soon become family and have tons of fun. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Working here was so weird. I had no work life balance as it was very hard to take time off. Had to get doctors note for anything/ everything. They had me working till 2 am some nights and then I’d have to be back for work at 12pm. Working here was very stressful, and  often understaffed which made it a very frustrating workplace.

Working here was confusing, to say the least.
Immediately, the training manual was out of date. The dress code was strict, and throughout my time working here most people did not follow it. 
The job pays well, and shifts are typically 8+ hours with one short 15-minute break. 
The people you work with are always there to help, however. Management is not typically as helpful. 

Management gets too frustrated and irritated easily with the smallest things and it makes no sense as to why, there are unrealistic expectations when working here. 
 Some of the employees slander other employees on shift. 
Pay is $17.41 plus whatever tips you get, not $35-45/hr as advertised. You can’t count on tips being that high every hour…
