What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
everything is stressful about working there 
management expects communication but NEVER provides any , you get in trouble like you were supposed to just .. know .. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
depends which shift,  the night manager smells like he crawled out of a toilet ( seriously , you can smell him from 50 feet away it's horrid ) 
day management doesn't care that you can't even breathe while trying to work the next isle over from him. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
same everyday , fill shelf face the store , get in trouble for not doing enough even though you get the entire job done

a typical day at work was easy, but never really with coworkers, management made it clear without saying it that they want you to work hard and expect 100% but don't give it themselves. 

I enjoyed helping the customers and the difficulty of the work but other than that there weren't any good parts of the job, you are constantly outside and usually alone, I was only introduced to the person that trained me and no one else.  

The culture of the workplace is just being disappointed, that's all I was ever shown anyways, nothing really showed that I was valued or needed. 

This started as a job that you could make a reasonable living at but that changed fairly quickly.  Not enough hours to be able to live. Management is more concerned with getting their BIG bonus cheques than they are about their employees financial needs. I was alone on my 2nd shift, people who were supported to work called in sick because their other job offered overtime.  You can't get support when or if you need it. Co-op and Safeway treat their employees MUCH better. They also take the Union seriously unlike lowblaws. Too much favoritism

Show up 15 minutes before yours shift and your still considered late if you have to swap a machine or headset. You have to be in a jog from start to finish to barely  make the standard for the day picking. I got a better position on a reach truck that is much easier on the body just to start getting harassed by one of the supervisor's to the point of getting the union involved.

Terrible place to work but good pay and a pretty good union

You feel welcomed each day and meet new people each day

The holidays get busy and a lot of people are around and need help but i manage

Team friendly caring and everybody seems to be helpful

Checking out customer groceries sale and price matching merchandising handling cash

I do a lot of hard work at loblaws in HMR like soups paninis and it gets busy at lunch time and i server the lunch rush. I've learned a lot from, food handling, serving customers and cashier experience too. The management is alright not the best but the workplace culture is good the people i work with are great. Sometimes it hard to keep up with all the work i have because it gets busy but i am a hard worker.

This was by far my favorite place to work, as my co workers and upper management are all such wonderful people. I worked in two sections of loblaws and was treated with respect and felt like a valuable team member. The training was professional and I never felt overly stressed. The schedule was organized and I loved spending my time at work.  

Not the best, not the worst. Not a full career for most. Stressful and fast paced with little help. Expected to cover all slack and stay as long as needed. Customers can be rude, and you rely on teenagers to do work. Scheduling is an annoyance to deal with and head office seems to be lost. Some locations are worse than others depending on the owners and staff.

You begin working there part time, but gradually progress to full time depending on the needs of the company and department you decide to work in. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and occasionally free food is offered in the staff dining room.

The environment was not positive or encouraging, and the management was sub-par. Deli manager was rude and disrespectful to the workers. I was often called in for extra shifts 15-20 minutes before they began, and never got paid for overtime or extra shifts that I did
