Worked there for about a half a year. Didn't like it but the reasons why I stayed for that long was because of the employees. And that I wanted to find another job before quitting this one... Anyway, a lot of them were pretty nice to talk to, but there are a few who are pretty rude so watch out for them. Even my dad warned me about some of the employees.

Management is, to be honest, not that great. They would rather take the word of other employees than your own so trust levels are low. And whenever you call in sick, they ask for a doctor's note. Which is understandable. But I'm not gonna go to a doctor and ask them to write me a note saying to excuse me from work because I have a cold.

Work wasn't too terrible. Heavy lifting was involved, that wasn't a problem, whatsoever. The position I worked in was meh. Your workstation is very loud, dirty, and smelly. You have to maintain about 5-6 different things at once and you're on your own there so not a whole lot of help. It's boring in that area, really. That's pretty much how it is for every shift.

As for learning new stuff, I guess the only thing you really learn is how to gut a fish... So that's something? And maybe a few other things, but I just can't think of anything else. You'll probably learn some more stuff in other positions.

The hardest part of the job would probably be just trying to keep up. Packaging fish, gutting fish, helping customers, bagging chicken, moving in new shipments, checking the quality of fish, water temperature, etc. Most of that, you'll have to do in the one shift.

Honestly, can't really think of anything enjoyable about working in seafood. The only thing enjoyable from working at the store are the employees. As I said previously, a lot of them were nice while a few were not.

As for shifts, it all depends on whether you are full time or part time. Part time workers must work for 4 hours or less, no breaks. Full time workers must work for more than 4 hours, with a half hour break. Not really sure how I feel about that, considering that I was part time.

Overall, if you are interested in working at Lucky 97 (specifically seafood department), I wouldn't say it's worth it. You deal with the loudness and the smell. You don't get to move around as much as other positions like grocery. And there's quite a bit of multi-tasking.

But if it's something you want to try out for yourself, go ahead. Again, most of the employees are pretty nice. The store itself ain't bad and the employee discount isn't too bad, either (which applies for friends and family ONLY if you are with them and not working).

The role of a supermarket clerk, although demanding, is pivotal in the retail sector. It requires keen customer service skills, patience, and a strong sense of organization. Long hours on foot and constant interaction can be taxing, but the role offers a rewarding opportunity to build a broad skill set, including problem-solving and inventory management. The position often creates a sense of community among staff and customers, adding an enjoyable dimension to the job.

My supervisor was very critical and unprofessional. My other co-workers were okay, made some friends. I liked my customers well enough. I worked in the meat department and it was very fast paced but the days went by really fast. You can go above and beyond for this company, but it is rarely ever noted or appreciated.

The manager of this place is so disorganized. She probably only has one working braincell. Only a few nice co-workers, but overall environment is pretty toxic. Customers are difficult as well as they expect everything from cashiers. DON'T WORK HERE.

Coworkers were all great to work with. I learned alot about cashing and customer care. The hardest part of the job would be overly critical superiors who provide little to no constructive criticism.   

As you would expect from a grocery store, coworkers were for the most part friendly, management isn't that great but they are definitely trying, and customers could get a little rowdy at times.

In the meat department there is a rude guy name chop,, he always yelling at people and not very nice to the workers.
You can get in trouble for things you never did at lucky supermarket.

I enjoyed working with different ethnics on the job. Lucky 97 is unique to work for. I enjoyed the co workers and learning produce codes.

Had learns some really good experiences as cashier. Made some awesome caring coworkers, also gained a lot of knowledge.
