I worked here off an on for years and I have never experienced a more disorganized and poorly run organization in my career.

Since the ownership changed from father/partner to daughter & son, the company was exceptionally brutal to work for. Between the crazy family drama [son no longer owner as a result] and daughter's complete lack of leadership, I expect the total demise of this company in a few years. The new owner is more interested in when her next vacation is than to lead and guide her people in these challenging times.

I've never seen an organization lose more insurance company contracts in my life... rollover after rollover after rollover. This constant need to roll policies and the lack of competent guidance/leadership has resulted in extremely low staff moral. So much so that a number of people are on the hunt for new jobs.

It's not all bad. The co-workers were great and "social club" tries to put on events that are entertaining. There's an HSA which is nice but the other benefits are mediocre.

High stress, poor management, restricted markets, no/low credit for doing your best, low pay... may want to skip over this company if you're seeking employment!

Great Place to work.  Depending on your role, it is fast paced and like all insurance can be a bit routine.  
The Management team is awesome and really connected to their teams.  Everyone is managed on performance.
No mandate to back to work - hybrid workspace with a booking system when you are in the office.  You do need to be in the office on occasion if you work with customers - but we use a appointment system.
Solid bonus structure, great benefits and vacation/time off.
Managers and Owner really care about their team and try to make things fun when they can with special team days and events.


do not want to write and review. I would not recommend as a place to work unless you are an independent agent and not working in the Edmonton trail office. I would also not except any help where HR is concerned because they have none, they let HR go and have no idea or any thought on how to replace her or give staff any idea where to go if you even have a basic question on your benefits, it sad when staff tells the 3rd party benfits coordinator that the company liaison is not there anymore.

To much favoritisim from head office. Zero oppertunity to grow unless you are part of head office.  Must be with the In crowd to ever have a chance to move up. Consistanly letting go long tenured employes for no reason. Really good benifits and vacation days.  Do not trust any one as there is a lot of back stabbing.

This is a Monday- Friday 9-5 type of job. 
Typically start my day by answering phone and replying to emails. Process documents and make sure everything is kept up to date.
I enjoy working in this office.

A work place that treats you like family, truly caring place, no pressure. You will get birthday off, personal day off, availability to work from home. Pet friendly place too

No motivation
Workplace culture is not good
HR barely listens to comments and reviews
Poor communication between managers and employees
Prefer buddies to work rather than outsiders

i want to have more opportunity to  learn at work and i like team work and enjoy helping people, and i can learn from other employee and there is support team and make me more successful.

Large book of clients, plenty of work but great support when needed. Family based business with employees as a top priority. Great family Christmas parties.

able to deal with different clients;  chance to network with other brokers and underwriters; highly regulated work because you need to have a license;
