Luxury Retreats is one of the most interesting companies out there for its business model. Sexy product, fast-moving, flexible inner workings, and a very unique industry & clientele.

The most enjoyable part of the job in the sales department is finding exactly what the client is looking for, the satisfaction one gets from making a sale, and the (usually) excellent feedback from clients after they come back from their trip. Hearing their stories and comments is delightful, especially when they mention how your team's service made their experience even better.

The clientele is very demanding and has high expectations, however this really makes for a good challenge. Winning over your customer and building trust and rapport with them is extremely satisfactory, even more knowing how hard they can be. This is not your average customer service job! Note: Sales and Customer Service are the same at Luxury Retreats.

The human resources team tries to make the environment as enjoyable as possible, because the work volume is high, there really are no low periods contrary to what is commonly believed for travel industry, management's expectations are very high (goals practically unattainable with the resources at your disposition) and change very often which makes employees insecure with their performance. There are some excellent managers, employees, and individuals in the company, but it seems people are disposable in upper management's eyes, and that costs a great deal to the company and affects the lives of the amazing people they usually hire. Turnover is currently extremely high and not a good sign.

This is easy freelancing, requires flexibility and ability to communicate through various contacts to ensure luxury experiences for clientelle.

Sometimes communications can be lengthy and confusing when too many parties are involved in coordinating assignments.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
freelancing, no contact with company employees

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
communications handled via email, inspection assigned, assignment is completed  on sight and submitted through an App.

A company that grows quickly without putting the right foundations.

People in human resources have not really study and experience in human resources.

They should hire a human ressouce VP with experience to structure the company

Growing company - lots of new and exciting things happening. Colleagues are great people. There are lots of ways in which you can create an impression

Great team, management helps to lead development for everyone.
The day to day is very busy, and always changing but the community makes it all worthwhile.

Processing accounts payable and assisting others. Management was fair and a pleasure to work with. The café always had great food. The chef was awesome with his menus.

was a fun space to work. not recommended if you have kids. the overtime isnt paid and the work life balance is mediocre. the perks are great tho.
and the office is pretty cool

This was one of the best job experiences i have ever had and was very said to see covid affect this company the way it did. If i had a chance to go back i would do so in a heartbeat.

Great place to work. Management was a bit in disarray when I was there but I know since AirBnB acquired the company things have progressed for the better.
