Like the titke says, managment is lazy. They will not get there hands dirty and help out when needed. Rather point and tell you that your doing it wrong. They will not offer any solutions,  just tell you to do it better. They are Entitled. Entitled to sit in there office complaning that no one if willing to work overtime, and how no one is any good at what they do and they could do it better. They will honestly talk for an hour in the morning about whats wrong with the world, then walk around the shop and complain about everything under the sun. They do t listen to there staffs advice on how to complete a task properly.  When that task falls apart they blam the staff for not doing it properly. Average wages, no Healthcare benifits, no rrsp conditions. Lots of Saturdays though. As long as you worked 44 hours through the week. Otherwise its only straight time. They dont do bonuses,  never have enough money for that. Equipment is subpar and old.

typical day of work is lots of machining or welding depending on your trade.
learned how to use CNC machines.
management when I was there was good.
workplace culture is friendly team environment.
hardest part of the job was following all the safety requirements.
when I first started it was a company of 12 or so people. and a very accommodating just get it done environment. by the time I got laid off, there were almost 50 people working there and safety was top priority, making some aspects of the job more difficult to deal with because it made them more difficult to accomplish. safety is safe but sometimes less efficient.
most enjoyable part of the job for me was working the occasional Saturday and getting lots of overtime.

Overall great people in the shop - but all highly dissatisfied with direction, instruction and management . Management is rude .
C misleading in an interview - was told training and received none - only if I asked as question and “maybe “ got 1 minute if instruction - stress safety but no certifications on fall protection ect due to costs . Dollar is the almighty high , no concept at all of current commodity issues at all - under bid, miss deadlines - not shop fault - across the door to the “big” guys is at fault 

The shop is the cleanest place I've ever worked. The work is diverse so this isn't an assembly shop. Fitting and welding knowledge is essential here. Just wish management would actually pull in work other than drag their feet and waste time and money. Welders are first fired before the incompetent office staff. If the office seen a turn over this place would be an amazing place to work. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing no benefits at all you are not a employee your a number 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Bad management and saftey person is the owners daughter and she does what she wants 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
All the welders are great. Everything that happens in the front office is terrible

Owner has deep pockets and a heart of solid gold.
Management is very un-focused and lacking trust.
You must trust your employees to let them do the best they know how and be honest with them.

For the time I was with Lyncorp the management was only out for themselves and offered little or help to the the structure of how the organization should work. No sales department equals no work poor organizational structure!

I learned a lot about the manufacturing industry, and was given the opportunity to grow with in the company. It is a fun environment to be in and I really enjoyed the people.

The team I created were excellent at what they did and a pleasure to work with.  The capabilities of the facility were unable to meet the production expectations of the owner.

Very stressful, no sales team to generate incoming work forecasts.
The training was Superb on going training when required.
Co-Workers were fabulous  and everyone was easy to get along with.
