On a typical day at this job i would have either been running forklift or sorting metals on a machine called the Harris or just scattered around the yard. This job taught me how to distinguish different metals from one another as well as how to run a forklift. I learned a lot about safety and controls from this company. The management was good my supervisors/ foreman were great guys they had a lot of confidence in me. Hardest part of the job was the weather because I worked outside all day but it still didn't bother me much. My favorite thing about this job was the people i worked with and for. They gave me a lot of opportunities to try different things and gave me responsibilities that some people that worked there for five years never did.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Monday to Friday and every second Saturday

When it’s really busy and you are the only one there

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It is actually a little clicky between offices

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It goes fast and is busy doing data entry taking phone calls from existing clients and adding new

long hours busy i learned how to fun different types of machines, i know all types of different steels. the hardest part of my job i think would be the long hours.

great people.  hard workers, ready to joke.  all in all good place to work.  wages arent the best but i doubt 3/4 have a grade 10 education.  this doesnt take away from the great people they are tho

Great place to learn about metal recycling.  Variety of work makes days go quick. Work all year around. The more versatile you are the more you will be appreciated.
