Very busy store with a good extended health benefits once you’ve passed your probation term of 3 months. Locally owned family run non-franchise company has pros and cons. 

Poorly managed makes for a difficult working environment Very minimal job training and no room for advancement. 
Poor work/life balance and difficult to take time off especially for appointments that sometimes cannot fall on scheduled days off.

Sick days are unpaid and highly frowned upon taking.

An 8 hour work day goes by very quickly as we are a very busy store. As lighting is always changing, there is always something new to learn, and new challenges to meet. This creates a dynamic environment, and as a group we learn together, and from each other. This creates a very positive work place, and the feeling of belonging to a team.
 Having fun at work is encouraged, and humor is appreciated. I enjoy every day with my work family.

Before you know it its lunch time. soon after at home. 
Good schedule and never open on Sundays! You don't work past 5:30 more than enough time to have fun after work.
Management always have doors open and everyone works towards a common goal.... sell lights and happy customers :)

I have worked for this company 15+ years. i enjoy the camaraderie of all the staff. Management is easy to get along with and very open to new ideas. I have moved up in the company through the years as well. Overall i would recommend anyone who is willing to work hard and enjoys a fun and fast paced environment.

McLaren has run a successful business for many years, and has a lot of potential with a strong sales and support team. A lack of clear guidance and leadership from ownership and their inability to accept change is what holds them back from being a great company. 

The majority of my time at McLaren's was enjoyable. I like being busy and interacting with customers. The need for a change of atmosphere and management style was my reason for leaving.

Working at McLaren Lighting has been a great experience. The team at McLaren has been very welcoming and highly encouraging. McLaren has a diverse team with boundless knowledge all working towards a common goal based upon shared values.

I really enjoy working at McLaren, learning new things everyday! Workplace culture is diverse and Management is great! they take good care of their employees 

I would work there again, manager is pleasant and easy to get along with - respectful environment. They have a huge lighting selection, and provide decent training.
