This is a job where you travel with a partner from house to house. It's a great day job. You are required to be available from 8am til 5pm however the management is really excellent and understanding. If you have an occasional appointment or special occasion pop up where you need to be off a little early, they will move heaven and earth to try to accommodate you for the occasional request. 
You won't always have consistent hours as part of this job requires you to have a mix of regular cleanings and move in or move outs. So it's impossible to have a full time schedule, but that can have a silver lining as you are typically home before dinner time and have time to prep or do things. And if you want more work, you can request more and if they have it, you can usually get it. So that's nice.
The franchise owner really cares about her staff. She always has a smile on her face and a great attitude. She shows true appreciation for each and every staff member. If you have a concern or a request, she will actually listen to her employees needs. She treats everyone with respect and has a great team of strong and caring supervisors who go out and check on, a provide real support to the teams on a daily basis. She also goes out of her way to ensure that your partner and you are compatible, training is provided and most days are consistently good work days. She is fully available and in contact with both her staff, and her supervisors and customers on a daily basis, so she is fully hands on in providing support to both clients and her team. 
The workplace culture is one of appreciation to the staff and support. She understands that by supporting her staff, she is in turn supporting her clients. She knows how to communicate and if you have a question or concern there is always either a supervisor or herself immediately available to connect with and help you. 
The cleaning work itself l is good. You are consistently doing something, so the work day goes by pretty quick. We also get weekends and stat holidays off, so we are always able to enjoy time with our families. 
The supervisor themselves are also excellent. They started as team members first, so they know how the job is and are always willing to pitch in and help on site like team players no matter what. Those are the kind of supervisors you want in your corner.

They hire you and lead you to believe you will receive good hours and good pay. Neither are fulfilled, once you’re hired under the pretense of a higher wage they give you $18. You have to fight for a higher pay even with previous experience. They know they’re required to pay you travel time but you don’t recieve it, there is no travel time noted. The schedule is supposedly made two weeks in advance but none of the jobs are set in stone. Never worked for such a disorganized and chaotic company before. You don’t get courtesy texts/calls to warn of no work for the following day. you’ll just receive radio silence at the end of the work day and you’re left to assume you don’t work the next day. They will try and spring work on you out of the blue in the late morning with no warning if they’re short staffed. You’re required to wait for the go ahead between each clean but management is so disorganized they can take up to 30 minutes to reply. During that time is considered an unpaid wait period. There are hours of your day that goes unpaid ,one to two hours of travelling each day including wait times that you’re not compensated for. They’ll hire you under the guise that they’re a busy company with a abundance of hours to supply. You’ll be lucky to get 4 hours a day, each day is essentially only two hours. Some weeks you’ll work 1 day with no warning of the decrease in hours .The company is so disorganized that they’ll add cleans onto your schedule last minute so you’re required to have open availability ,they don’t allow you to book any appointments or plan your life out without permission from them to do so. They’ll hire you for cheap labour and once you’re about to qualify for commission they’ll terminate your employment. They have a revolving door of employees that don’t make it past the probation period, they do this so they don’t have to pay their employees a livable wage and can hire replacements to repeat the cycle and keep paying people $18. its not worth the risk.

Allthough I am a new Molly Maid employee i've quickly created my outlook on the company and felt welcomed with open arms to the very friendly team of employees. A typical day has a very well organized schedule and consists of arriving at our customers homes and providing a very thourough clean on our scheduled times. I've learned the importance of having very hqppy satisfied customers and the meaning to them of having professionals give them an oustanding quality service while ensuring them security and privacy of there homes and personal life. The managment is outstanding. Very professional, friendly people making emloyees and customers feel instantly comfortable and happy to be a part of Molly Maid. The workplace culturebis great, even though the team isn't together all day, when we are together everyone has positive attitudes and very similar beliefs in the Molly Maid way and contibuting to giving the outstanding, quality service Molly Maid is well known for nationwide. The hardest part is probably upholding your stamina throughout the day and not letting small thing frustrate or irritate you. It is crucial to always treat customers with respect and not judge them in any sort of way and to make them feel like you are very happy to be there which is sometimes hard when your getting tired at the end of the day. The best part is the feeling you get when your about to leave a house and you see the differnce from when you just got there. Not only is it satisfying for you but knowing your customers will come home to a sparkling clean home and be very satisfied to have Molly Maid apart of there lives so they can spend there time enjoying there day or time with there family instead of stressing about trying to clean. Overall I feel a sense of pride working for Molly Maid and knowing the difference we make in our customers lives each day.

I genuinely enjoyed working at Molly Maid. The job itself was very rewarding — I loved the cleaning aspect and took pride in the work we did. There’s something really satisfying about leaving a home spotless and knowing clients appreciate it.

One of the best parts of the job was the clients. I had the opportunity to meet so many kind and appreciative people, which made the work even more enjoyable. My coworkers were also amazing — very supportive, hardworking, and easy to get along with.

The company offers good benefits, which is definitely a plus.

The most challenging part of the job was the travel, especially during the winter months. Driving in those conditions added a lot of stress to the day.

While I truly loved the job itself and the people I worked with, management was difficult to deal with at times, which impacted the overall experience.

Overall, it’s a great job if you enjoy cleaning, working with a team, and interacting with clients — just be prepared for the travel and management style.

I have been with molly maid for many years.There is good and bad days.I have customers that has been with me for years and I think of them as friends and family. I have many days that I feel appreciated and rewarded for my hard work and days where you don’t feel that way. There are days where you feel relaxed and days where you feel stressed.My boss is pretty awesome.. I do have issues sometimes with the scheduling of cleans and timing to get to cleans! Sometimes you don’t even have time to have break or lunch and that is not a good thing...if you want to keep your employees then you need to put yourself in their shoes to see how hard they work every day. I decided to do house cleaning as I felt it was rewarding...but over the years our job has become more stressful,demanding and physically draining for the same pay..which is another issue as I feel as the cleaners we don’t get paid enough but work harder.I would like for the CEO’s and franchise owners to come out with us for 1 day and see how hard we work and what is expected of us every day.I admire and respect my fellow employees and have become good friends with many over the years that is one thing I cherish just like I cherish the customers I’ve had for many years.For me my biggest complaints are the pay the scheduling of cleans..either you can’t have a break all day or you have to wait a very long time for next schedule clean

Molly Maid Thunder Bay is train wreck of a company who don’t care about their employees. Need to book a day off for your essential appointments? Be prepared to get your hours cut. Unforgiving management seems to think you live and breathe for molly maid and have no personal life- Even if you’ve given all your time and efforts to the company. You will get no appreciation, neither will you be treated as a human. If the next client is 45 minutes drive into the country and it’s snow-storming outside, no visibility, no winter tires, and you fear for your safety? Management will make you go anyways. They do not care about you. Also enjoy your frozen lunches in a freezing vehicle because they don’t keep up with maintenance. If you need to be accommodated for any reason, look for another job. This company likes plays favourites, giving some route managers the easier and bigger tipping cleans while the rest are given the more challenging work with no extra compensation or thank you. If you like working hard for little pay in a company that has cliquey managers and staff, this place is for you. Good luck trying to get on the “In crowd”, they might give you decent hours and not lie to your face. 

It was over 2 weeks to even begin working and after 3 weeks of working my absolute hardest I was paid so badly that I couldn't afford my rent, food or anything at all. You have to work with a partner but if your partner is sick you might be put with another team to be paid less. you will barely finish cleaning houses and you might only have a single house on a day of the week. It happened more often then you'd think. You'd have to drive to a house as far in Carlton Place only then to drive all the way to Kanata to clean the rest of the houses that day. Even when working your best your hours don't match your pay at all. They under sell your hours. They don't want you to have another job and it's impossible anyways because of the unreasonable hours. You have to buy your own cleaning supplies like a feather duster because they wouldn't get it for you or takes too long to get it in the first place. There are times you will need to pay for the gas for the company car with your own money. If this sounds terrible then as a warning you might want to think twice before working with them. If you still want to after reading this then you'll be underappreciated, underpaid and overworked. You don't even know the rest of your team at all. No team meetings. 

There isn't really a typical day, other than that we're cleaning people's homes. The clients are as varied as the homes we clean. We work quite a bit with seniors, many who simply need help with certain aspects of housekeeping, such as vacuuming or mopping floors, that has become more difficult for them to maintain. One of the best parts of the job is seeing the glowing surprise on peoples faces when they see how fresh their home looks, some have commented on how much their bathroom/s (for example) sparkle. The hardest part is trying to please those clients who are very picky and/or particular and pick apart the work we've done, or don't want to give us adequate time to do what they request of us, however those clients are few and far between. We stress a team atmosphere; if one girl is finished her task early she helps the other/s with their remaining tasks, also the bosses are always willing to pitch in when the situation requires extra assistance, they in no way act as though they are better than us. Besides picking up useful tricks for my own home, I've been able to improve my customer service skills and have found common ground with many of our clients regardless of their age or socioeconomic backgrounds.

The worst company to work for period. It all starts with   the current and only manager, by far the most selective and emotionally unstable person to ever be in a leadership role. Management treats their employees like a disposable camera but demand full ability from us. They will literally do anything to make the customer happy at the employees expense. They don't give you proper equipment for each job, they don't train you properly, they have no respect for employees and are completely incompetent to manage a company. The equipment they do give us is reused at every house, and yes including toilet brushes because management is to cheap to update there stock of equipment. You get paid peanuts compared to what managment does and they don't even do their job properly. New hires quit within a week because they can't believe how much you have to work for so little, while being treated like a caged animal by management. No breaks, no lunch, your required to do that while you drive to the next house, which by the way you don't even get paid for the window time! Ridiculous. I would not recommend ever working for burlington molly maid.
