As a medic you are confined to either a shack or a truck for 12 hour days at 2 weeks at a time. The pay is excellent, which is why most people can tolerate the immense isolation that comes with this position. 
Though the people themselves at Mountainview are excellent, their organizational skills are where they faulter. From never knowing when you'd be going back out to never being kept updated on jobs or shifts it is excessively frustrating.

This company has supported me through the hardest time of my life. It has given me opportunity and new goals and dreams to conquer. If it was not for this company I do not know where I would be today.They help me train to become an EMR and supported me in every way possible so I could do it. I am grateful and will always be for Mountain view Safety Services. 

The wage is good but it's mandated by a union, coworkers for the most part in camp are great.

Do not bring up safety concerns and if you have any issues with your supervisor despite what the company says don't let upper management know even if they assault you, because the company's policy seems to be instead of dealing with the issue they just terminate you.

I did lots of work for mountain view. They're very flexible they kept me busy. Only issue I have is dispatch keeps a lot of information from theirs medic. Like time zones difference between certain jobs and even the directions to me wrong at times.

Their trucks are very very old and not kept together. 

Also paid travel is only for paramedics not emrs.

Overall decent company better than EI

This would be a bad decision. The company has no loyalty to their employees and will destroy you sooner than look at you. They have zero respect for their employees and zero appreciation for what you do fir them.

I love the owner's rules, they fit my upbringing Respect everybody, no swearing, if you are upset do lapse the entire parking lot. My manager is really COOL. So far MSS is one of my favorite company in northern bc

They don't communicate, no proper training, disorganized, lies, company that that throws you under the bus so management doesn't have to take accountability for their mistakes, poor pay, poor treatment, broken promises from them

Unorganized, and it's a "clicky" company. If you disagree with something you get the scraps of jobs, definitely do not recommend this company for green medics cause they'll just take advantage of you and play you around. 

Don't bother.
They use and abuse you for the minimum a Medic can make.
Dispatch and management are terrible.
Eventually you will regret it if not right away.

A fine place to work, with caring and staff and managment. Lots of hours to work as well as decent pay, with most of the money being made by overtime.
