Natures Call

I was a dz driver here. The training was good but being moved around from truck to truck was frustrating because they’re all different. The employees are nice and SOME of the bosses are nice. You get assigned a designated run eventually and that’s what you will do every week, so it gets easy when there is no hiccups. BUT, there is often hiccups, not being able to service a unit for various reasons. You get a lot of trouble for something that is out of your control & that  was the worst part about the job. Sometimes units were places in unsafe areas with no flaggers & traffic flying by just a couple feet away from me. There was many times I felt unsafe. There’s alot of negatives about this job which is why it isn’t even a 4 star place to work. But there is many positives aswell. The employees are nice. When the week goes as planned and there is no issues, it is really nice because you just go at your own speed. You can take your lunch & breaks as you please, as long as things get done. The wages are fair. I feel like if you had your Dz and worked here for years, you can make a living, but there is definitely other places that pay better. I WOULD work here again if I didn’t have any other choice because it is really just a fine job. It would be a good job for new drivers aswell because I’ve heard they offer people to upgrade G to D class license. If you’re new to driving or just want a job that pays decent. This is a great company to start with.

Manager and crew were great always kept things light and friendly

Hours were horrible no schedule and never enough hours to make 40 a week

Never had an issues with the crew or the environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There was no such thing as typical day and zero ability to manage the day

I started working at the Gormley location in February. Management is very kind and help you with anything. They respect employees and are very supportive. My coworkers are very friendly and are also willing to help if you have issues. The work is repetitive but you are paid very well. Overall it’s a great gig and I hope to be here for a long time. 

Sad to leave, But i moved from the area. The VP looks after his people, he will help you work through any problems you have, if you ask for help. The owner likes to give out large bonus's at Christmas. 
Driving to construction sites mostly all day, cleaning both plastic or trailer portable toilets. doing special events is always a up side, free concerts and festivals and lots of over time for those that want it.

Nature’s Call is the perfect job for students/young adults looking for a job that will keep them in shape, and a decent pay at the end of the day. The environment is fast paced, mostly supportive, and you’ll feel very productive at the end of each day! I would 100% consider working for Nature’s Call again.

They’re an excellent company. Great people who run the show!

It’s not an “easy” job, but it’s a good one.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Sometimes fast paced, sometimes slow. But always working.

The company works with you when you need time off, job incentives (periodic gift cards and bbq’s) end of year performance bonuses.  Management is easy to get along with and will help with anything needed. Great job to grow with and advance your driving career.  Willing to pay for licensing upgrades and endorsements. 

They expect to much right away with not enough training the boss is good for the most part but they will put you on your own and doing 60 to 70 stops a day in Toronto in high traffic dangerous train yards were you won't have a clue what to do or were the units are.

I enjoyed working for this company. But management is unorganized. They do not care for their employees; all they are concerned about is you doing the job. They do not care if you are injuried on the job; just get it done.

Very dirty job, you can stay clean if you’re careful but you’re inhaling feces and urine all day. Way underpaid compared to other competitors. No sick days, no vacations. Overworked and underpaid, high turn over.  Only a job you take if you’re down bad to get on your feet then find something better.
