This has been my worst experience so far. The organization seems to have different rules for each employee, with no sense of fairness or consistency. Manager is completely unbothered about any concerns, training, or support just a manager in name only. When they schedule a one-on-one meeting, they barely pay attention, spending the entire time looking at their computer instead of engaging and its deliberately.
The account executive shows blatant favouritism toward an ex-team member.
They set rules for certain people and different rules for others. Vacation requests are often denied, and I’m repeatedly told I must be in the office because “no one will be available” yet the same person who says this often isn’t in the office themselves or this is not been told to other team members.

It's your typical 9-5 with events sprinkled in throughout the year to break up the day to day. 

I learned that not everyone is going to have the same experience here. What bothers me specifically is lack of communication regarding work I'm involved in. 

Management is a variation of personalities, you won't like everyone no matter where you work. There are leaders amongst bosses though. 

Culture is decent, they try to make work an inclusive environment. Depends on the department though. 

Biggest peeve is location in respect to commute. It's a high traffic and congested area but its in the Don Mills Shops. It's worth it when you want good food & window shopping.

I think what I enjoy most is  the project work, not doing the same thing for too long.

The management is nice and helpful, however the brokers (specifically on the customer care team) don’t like to take accountability for their own work load and like to push things off on their coworkers. 
The company itself is great, with wonderful benefits and an RRSP plan. They could work on increasing their pay a touch, but overall the company itself is a good place to work. 
Their biggest issue is just some of their employees, who really are not team players or they are lazy and just don’t want to do their job. It’s frustrating and puts a bad taste in your mouth. 

It's been a while since I've worked here so some things could have changed a bit, but my Co-workers were what kept me here for as long as I did.  Amazing group, everyone worked great as a team & we all had each other's backs & helped out anytime we could.
Otherwise not too different from most other companies similar in nature.
Salary/compensation here however was insulting!!!! Did not pay good & raises were few & far between & if you did get one it was pathetic, you barely saw a difference on your pay check & sometimes all it did was put you into the next tax bracket & after taxes you ended up making less per pay.

It is a serious work environment balanced with a good mix of social activities throughout the month.  You get what you put in - make a healthy contribution to get what you want out of your day and relationships.  Be a part of a growing company where potential doesn't have a ceiling or limits.

Mentoring, coaching and training is important to us and our staff.

This industry is an evolving one and the learning never stops.

There have been many changes over the years but all have been progressive. 

We have very busy months that can be a little stressful but the atmosphere is very relaxed despite those hectic periods.

My particular office is always trying news things to get employees engaged like holiday themed games and social outings. 

Although I enjoy what I do, I look forward to coming to work mostly because of the people that I work with. We've got a great team that's constantly growing.

Job description is very reflective of what the role is really like. I enjoy coming in to work every day, and I have specific goals that I feel I can meet without too much stress. 

Team Leads seem to always be happy to support you if you’re unsure or falling behind, and raises have been quite generous. 

A good amount of incentive programs to earn extra money here and there if you’re willing to put in the work. 

worked for NFP in Mississauga as an account manager for the last few years however when it did turn into NFP it went downhill further as management now had people to answer to. Employees were quite unhappy in my office and the positive reviews are from the email sent out by management asking for kind words. There need to be more emphasis on staff training and inclusiveness.

Speaking of CBA Canada division of NFP , management were some of the most intelligent , honest and respectful people I have worked for. I always felt like they had confidence in my abilities and was given work that was challenging/rewarding often. Always felt like my work was appreciated when completed.

NFP seems to really care about their employees and there is always room for advancement if you make it known what your goals are. Can be very fast paced and busy but you will find that in any insurance job. Base compensation is a bit on the low side but they seem actively working to improve that. Lots of flexibility and they care about a work-life balance.
