The equipment is old and always breaking down. The workplace culture is negative and toxic. The management are callous and only care about numbers. They don't have SOP's and expect you to train yourself. They want your loyalty but don't consider seniority when changing your job. They give poor work reviews so they don't have to give you a raise. They randomly change job titles so they can add work to your job. They got rid of secondary shifts in a couple departments then expect the remaining people to work harder and overtime to get the production. They fired domestic workers and kept offshore workers in their place. There is little to no communication. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
We are led by a very proactive General Manager who is very well informed on all occurrences in and around the plant...

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is a union presence here that makes for another obstacle to both production & maintenance of the plant 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I think that much like other production plants there are those that foster a good environment and those that never will.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Good. 
In general, my day is full. Usually there is a list of to do assignments but it is most often that something arises that needs attention...

I enjoy my work. In my opinion, it is a fun place to work, and the job is extremely easy for the pay. However, management will completely kill your drive to work. It is extremely frustrating, as they are impossible to work with, and they don't listen.

There are a lot of problems with the machines. If there is a machine there, something about it doesnt work. Everything has been bandage fixed to "get it to run for now" while they need proper adjustments and fine tuning.

The potential to continue growing in the company.

In operations, it’s the time when we are in production.

Safety is a number-one priority; people are respected and treated fairly. It is a good environment.

Depends on the post. But there is a lot of autonomy.

Terrible management. The HR department at this place is a joke

Having to deal with incompetent managers

Terrible. No one wants to work there

My typical day was trying to avoid having to talk to my manager because it seemed like I was an inconvenience to her

enjoyed the job and the people, HR were not pleasant to me.

Never really had stress, but HR  was very rude.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not good, old buildings, mold and many chemicals they never really discussed with the workers.


What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I enjoyed working there, co workers were great, no regards for the safety of employees.

If you are friendly with your crew it is a nice place to work. My supervisor was very open to questions and discussion about the processing routine, standards, and his history. My interest in the process and the background of the company got me moved to QA and there I had the opportunity to learn a lot in food science, production/processing, chemical safety and so on. Everybody was nice and friendly.

People are #1. Management is very focused on a safe work environment.  Wages are competitive and the work life balance is good as long as you like 12 hour shifts and rotating every two weeks between days and nights.  There is a good variety of tasks to complete and they are rotating so that you are never bored.  Lots to do and always good development opportunities for those interested and willing to put forward the effort.

always pushy to be in freezer for hours...no warm up breaks.Daily they change the rule.descrimination ,don't care attitude from manager.doesnot allow for a heat break

They expect you to know everything right away, and when you don’t because no one trains you at all then everyone thinks you are dumb. You are expected to do way much for no appreciation at all. And always are stressed out and worried about being fired, turn over rate there is ridiculous and you don’t even know anyone because of their turn over rate.
