Working at a sporting organization can be very fun and enjoyable. For the most part I really enjoyed the work I was doing and the people I was able to meet and interact with. My days kept me busy with client care, program maintenance and creation and problem solving. This organization gave me a lot of freedom to stretch my skills and to create programs that I felt would benefit the clients and the organization. They trusted my skills and my judgment and I found out many things about myself and my potential. 
The management, I found, was in a bit of a flux between being a small community based organization, and a larger sized business. I did not find management terribly effective and for the most part the employees worked around the management for the good of their department, with management not really taking great interest in what their employees were doing. 
My coworkers were a great bunch of individuals who were equally as invested in their jobs as I was. 
The hardest part of this job was dealing with a terribly inefficient software and having to work around it. As a problem solver, it was rewarding to be able to find alternative processes to deal with the deficiencies in the software, however my drive for efficiency was frustrated by such a poor operating system. 
I also found that the job demanded so much of my time...beyond the 9-5, that balancing my family life with my job proved challenging. This, ulitmately, is why I chose to leave.
The most enjoyable part of this job was working with excellent people and watching the referees grow in their roles. Most of my referees were teenagers and it was very satisfying to see so many of them gain confidence as individuals by doing this job.

Things can get pretty hectic at the Soccer Clbu and the small group that work in the offices are often asked to do far more than their job titles. This is great for those who like to be a "jack of all trades" as you will get experience with everything from the technical side of developing soccer talent to managing camps. The people who work there are a small group but extremely motivated to provide great service and are a lot of fun to work with. Everyone works very hard but knows that there is room for a break.

I learned how to handle my emotions, because Referees have to put up with a lot. My pay checks were always late, however I could choose my hours as you had to pick which games you want to do. Hardest part of the job was getting yelled at by players, even though most of the time you were right. Most enjoyable part of the job was being apart of something I love and enjoy and thats the sport of soccer.

Typical day consisted of teaching young girls how to play soccer. The basic skills such as passing, shooting, trapping, kicking etc. I learned how to work with kids and really learn some patience but also to make sure their always having fun. Hardest part of my job was to make sure that the girls kept engaged in the drills. the most enjoyable part of my job was seeing the girls improve and master the skills that would one day make them reat payers.

It was interesting to learn to teach children from such a young age as I had never done such type of work before. The work proved to be fun as well as interesting. You were commonly paired with another facilitator and had to run games for the children in purpose of building fundamental soccer skills, which was challenging at times but I feel confident that I have a new set of skills from this job.

It was a volunteer position some nights of the week for practise and games. The management system for coaches was well set up and organized to allow people work well with their co-workers. Everyone I worked with was positive and dedicated to better the children skills in soccer. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to teach children how to become better players on the field.

Coaching young children how to play soccer, development, and how to work as a team. A typical day includes 1 hour of coaching a game with a pre-warm up/practice.  Management is very organized and ensures you have all the information and equipment needed. The workplace culture is very positive because kids need to be pushed with positivity. The best part of the job is creating a connection with the kids.

The Oakville Soccer Club is Canada's largest soccer organization with over 18,000 registrations per year.  It provides youth and adults with the best possible soccer experience.  The management and staff work in harmony to ensure that both children and adults receive the best in training, coaching and play.

Reffing soccer for Oakville Soccer Club was very Fun. The hours were Flexible and I made $22 Off of one game for U9. The coordinator was really understanding and you have a lot of options for what day you want to work and was age group you want to ref. Oakville Soccer Club is a great place to work for.

You get to pick and choose when you want to work as well as where you'd want to work. This is because you sign up for games you will be available for and you will know when the game is and where it is as well significantly ahead of time depending on when you sign up for the game to referee.
