O'Dell management cares nothing about the staff.  They threaten them with dismissal if you don't want to work weekends.  They want all the profits for the owners and get mad at staff for looking for pay increases.  Horrible company to work for. 

Good company. Everyone in the company knows each other and there are a lot of good people in the company. 
They will ask you to work overtime, while getting paid straight time. 

Great guys. Hard working and respectful. Benefits are on par with most. If not better.

Job security is great. Havent missed a day of work in the 2 years iv worked here.

Smaller company so you dont feel like a number and and i believe there is room to move up if very competent. 

Felt like a family member and still do even though I have been gone. Would go back if there was enough business. This is an industry wide problem so no faults to the company.

I enjoyed the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects. O'Dell also works with other companies to keep you working to the best of its ability. In periods of slowdown, they were able to loan me out to other companies in between projects in the past.

Good learning environment, wouldn't recommend staying long term as there are better deals out there in the city. Lots of b*tching from people about the management / ownership but if they don't like it they should just leave!

Very supportive management. Good pay. They treat every employee as if they were family. Strong benefits package. I know for a fact that they have a long line of applicants at all times, even when they are not hiring.

Worked as an apprentice electrician for a couple years at U of C and was exposed to a wide range of tasks. Journeymen were friendly and foremen treated workers with respect.

Excellent place to develop skills and quality work. pay great attention to detail and not just appearance but quality of work done its self. Working hours are ideal as well.
