 I had the opportunity to work at Ogivile Subaru for a significant period, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by two major issues: overworking employees and a disrespectful staff. Throughout my tenure, it became apparent that the workload distribution was severely imbalanced, with employees frequently burdened with excessive tasks and responsibilities. This constant overload created a stressful and overwhelming work environment, hindering our ability to perform effectively.

Additionally, the lack of respect exhibited by certain members of the staff was disheartening. Disrespectful behavior not only contributed to a toxic atmosphere but also demotivated and undermined the morale of the team. Despite attempts to address these issues with management, there was little to no improvement, leaving employees feeling undervalued and unsupported.

It is my hope that Ogivile Subaru takes these concerns seriously and works towards fostering a healthier and more respectful work environment for its employees. Addressing the workload distribution and promoting a culture of respect and professionalism will go a long way in enhancing the overall employee experience.

The only thing good about this job was a few co-workers in parts, the receptionist, appointment coordinators and mechanics. When you start you don’t get commission for the first month and the other service advisors that are there will take your work orders and put their name on it if they “close” it for you so they get commissions and it makes it look like you’re not making many sales. 
Since it didn’t look like I wasn’t making many sales I was let go. No 3 strikes and you’re out! The management didn’t even bring me in to let me know I was the service advisor that had the lowest sales and to try and bring it up. No! They just let me go! I had the best rating with their customer service surveys but that didn’t matter to them. This auto group is not worth your time! Stay far away and go somewhere else where they have more supportive management. Here, all they care about is the money, not the customers!

What is the best part of working at the company?
This place use to print money and now is just a circus of clowns.. especially any upper management pay them ridiculous money to point fingers.. this company actually has a “ talent acquisition “ section of the company and they do nothing.. pathetic 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Going to work everyday listening to people who don’t know what there doing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
2009-2018 - incredible 
2019  to present - CIRCUS.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Nightmare. Upper management paid way too much to sit and point fingers. Ex Technician runs the show.. if you know how to draw up excel spreadsheets you make a mint here

Terrible management. Incompetent techs, greasy up sales on service not required as the techs are starved for hours. Lack of honesty. Long hours. Receptionists that don’t know how to book appointments.  Sales that doesn’t know what they are selling. Salesmen that don’t drive or represent the car culture. Attempting up sale on manual transmission vehicles with remote start… 
Terrible professionalism towards people with cracked windshields due to design defects,,, must be driving behind trucks all the time…

If you are thinking of working here and your an automotive enthusiast stay far away as they will kill your desire to be a tech or work in automotive.



- Typical day is morning coffee, saying goodmorning to the staff, and starting on whatever paperwork I have for the day. 
- I've learned how to doing vehicle licensing. 
- The Management here is really great, they are on top of anything that needs to be fixed and done.
- there is really no hard part of my job, just only when there is last minute deadlines then the pressure is on, like any other job. 
- Most enjoyable part of my job is the staff, we all get along really well. We're almost like a little family here, we look out for one another and try to help each other out as much as we can.  

I started working for this place everything was good first few months. Things started to go down hill when management could not be on same page with staff or clients. The AAG group absolutely does not give a  0.10cents about you as their employee. You have a an issue to address? Good luck with HR department, they also do not care. Very toxic environment with no support. Better off working at a retail grocery store  

Use to be a good place till the apha autogroup took over. At first all seemed well but when you're Hydro, internet and cable get cut off from bills that are unpaid and you can't order parts from local suppliers because of outstanding payments and a parts department that more often than not runs out of the basic essentials for running a shop.

Ogilvie subaru is very competitive and collaborative place to work. They got an amazing team and management that makes work and day a lot fun and ease.

The car industry to start off isn’t the best environment to start with. The reputation it has made for itself is self explanatory, and management in this place doesn’t help that all. If you’re looking to be disrespected, mistreated, underpaid and much more poor work conditions, this is the place to work!

The level of organization at this location allows us to be hyper focused on our tasks.  

Our goals are well indicated and the team culture allows for easy completion. 

The best parts are seeing customers leave happy and the pay is good!
