OJ Industrial Maintenance

HSE department was a close knit collaborative group that willingly would aid each other as a team.  I learned even more about Excel spreadsheets and how to manipulate them due to an exceptionally talented co-worker.  In turn I shared knowledge of power point, and was able to proof previously developed courses in order to allow them to flow easily.  Management was open to collaboration, willing to teach and very supportive.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with incidents while in the field but this is to be expected as an HSE advisor.  The most enjoyable part of the job was the satisfaction received at the end of the day once everyone was home safely.

OJ Industrial Maintenance has been nothing but good to myself and my family. As my first job in the oil and gas industry OJ has greatly helped me learn and experience a great many things, not only about the job but myself. I have grown to be a better problem solver, listener, innovator and leader. The hardest part of working at OJ was not seeing my family, but the company was more than generous and understanding when it came to time off.

They provided me with a vast knowledge from pipeline maintenance as well as a broad understand of the complete mining process from tailings to reclamation.

Great leadership from the Superintendents, foreman and operators.

Shifts can be long and do allow for overtime.

It was a great team environment.  The QA/QC manager was young but very knowledgeable.  I trusted his leadership and the rest of my co-workers.  They always acted professional and took pride in their work.

You work hard everyday with little to no recognition from management.  You are made to feel like you have or give no value to the company.   Many good workers left due to this culture, the rest stayed because of the money.

Great place to work at, foreman's are knowledgeable and willing to teach greenhorns the ropes. Two very good unions to choose between.

The only true downside is work/life balance, but that comes with the territory and industry we work in. 

Love working there. Never not wanting to go. Learned lots about equipment and the 10 hour days are a definite plus. They have a good pension with union paid benefits. Management is easy to talk to with personal or professional advice. 

Everything about these guys is a joke
From the young formans that have no clue to the management brain dead’s trying to run the gong show. Best of all at the end of. Shift they want you to tromp through a big puddle of muck to swipe out ! 

O.J Industrial is a good place to work to gain experience in a multi discipline setting.  Good team to work with decent amount of support.  Very friendly work setting.

I overall liked this company and I would suggest anyone to try it. This company is one of not too many around where after they hire you they do their best to keep you in
