Climate controlled  
Very diverse. 
Relaxed and friendly. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Begin my day at one of several gaming tables. 
Open the table, confirming all assets are agreeable to what the previous dealer and supervisor reported when they closed the table. 
Check decks of cards for any errors/misprints/soil and promptly report them to my supervisor. 
Greet patrons as they join my table and/or pass by. 
Ensure the protection of the assets at all times. 
“Call my game” meaning I say what I am doing as I am doing it to minimize room for error and/or discrepancies. 
Calculate payouts as required based on the game I am dealing. 
Provide customer service and ensure customer satisfaction as much as possible.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Co workers are good for the most part,management under a lot of stress and doing the jobs of at least 3 ppl and have to be "yes" kinda ppl with a few exceptions of course. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They expect ppl that are hourly to be zealous about the company and to sacrifice their time (families don't matter),mandatory overtime, etc

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressed and benefits/rewards don't come close to what they should be

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You have to talk to ppl that have an addiction problem, management doesn't do enough about it and responsible gaming is a joke...

Seniority will determine your experience.  It is said that a typical Casino career lasts 5 years but over half the workers have been there for at least 15 years.  Since Casinos started to unionize, there is a year of uncertainty leading up to each new collective agreement and reflects on the overall moral of the building.  There are many workers on job modification and an unrealistic amount of sick days taken.

The General Managers are approachable and professional

Worked as a server for Food & Beverage Department for four years. Primarily served on the gaming floor. 

Overall: would not recommend if you want a work/personal life balance, would not recommend if you suffer with mental health issues, but WOULD RECOMMEND if you want a higher income.

It was an alright company to work for. Now that it is slowly the hours have gone to almost nothing. I find my area gets the most turn over. In my training class last year there was 12 people and out of those nine were one department. People are extremely friendly and helpful if your new and learning. The issue I have is consistent hours.
I was told in my hours were set and wouldn't go below a certain amount. This was told during my interview yet I am not granted that.
Working two jobs isn't acceptable to me. 

Also when you first start expect to work every weekend and every holiday.

Each day i would go into work with a positive and motivating attitude, i would greet each person i seen on my way to my office.  I enjoyed the connection with front line staff.  I would listen to their concerns and try to assist.  
Over the 20 years i was employed with brantford casino, i have developed strong customer service skills, i am able to listen and understand a persons concerns.

i loved working here , the only cons of working at the casino was your shifts where rotating and hard to keep up with ... one day was day shift next was sing and then nights ... the pay was amazing and wish i would of stay but i couldnt do the rotations it put alot of stress on my body ..

Depending on who's working you can have different rules of conduct.
This job is difficult and does require a very flexible personality. It is very easy to become disenchanted with this employer. You must be able to be flexible.

Although many do have complaints, it was a positive experience for me. There are advancements in moving departments within the company and always something to learn, there are some setbacks also. Hours are very inconsistent and change drastically. overall it is a stepping stone and a good job.

it was ok for the time that i was there, way to many hours and little respect given to those that mattered. Too many bosses to answer to and not enough group work every body for them selfs.
