ORB has undergone a huge transformation over the past couple years. The company went through a difficult period of restructuring and unfortunately some employees were let go as a result. Covid did not help. Many previous employees were understandably hurt. The family environment that exists certainly makes it harder to let go.

Today however, ORB is very much in recovery mode and starting to strengthen processes and fill key positions that are helping drive success. There is no longer the need to fear job instability, and lots of opportunity for career growth! It remains a fast-paced environment where creativity and collaboration are highly valued.

The company feels like a family. It’s innovative, there is always something new or interesting we work on. We work collaboratively. It’s a fast paced environment and we get to wear different hats everyday with variety of interesting tasks. I never get bored here. If you want to learn and grow in your career this is the place. There has been many opportunities to advance in career for most people I know here including myself. Executive team tries to align people’s passion with the role they play. The team is collaborative and creative and the management works hard along side their teams. Executive team truly cares and are passionate about their work that makes me want to work harder.

The place is a den of lies. Orb is full great people making the best of a bad situation. It seemed very cool at first, but once you grasp the gravity of the management situation... your heart will sink. 

The REAL problem in the company is... LOL... I don't want to ruin the surprise for you. 

If you have other options - explore them. This isn't a stable place or a safe bet for you are anyone in your family. 

If however, you are a creative screenplay writer in search of an hilariously defective corporate atmosphere upon which to base an "Office" style comic tragedy - by all means hit that APPLY button.

The senior management team are the worst I have ever experienced! They will expect you to work until there is nothing left of you mentally or physically to give. 
It is run so poorly it is a miracle they are even still in business. 
The direction changes on a daily, if not hourly basis, and if you don't know what's changed you're hung out to dry. The internal communication is appalling and it all amounts to a toxic working environment where no one trusts anyone and you're constantly threatened with redundancy.
Whatever they promise you is a lie - there is no bonus, the frame work for it is there but not the met criteria so don't fall for it.

Rank and file people were amazing, management was an absolute dumpster fire. They sold the soul of the company, switching from craft based products to cheap dollar store gimmicks. Still amazed that this company still exists. 

I would only work here if you are truly desperate for employment. 

Company is laying off people left right and center, and not laying off in the right departments... have like 15 toy designers now but a Operations department with 4 managers and 3 workers(does this make any sense????)
Maybe 50-60 employees left and they need 3 people in the HR department( also does this make since????)

Great environment to work. Company is growing so fast that sometimes the workload can be quite overwhelming. Some positions are/were not well defined. Directions from department heads can be confusing quite often.

The only good thing about this company was some of the great people I worked with. 
Other than that:
0 job security and mass lay offs
Company is so poorly managed and stupidest decision are made by upper management and the president
You are always under so much stress and there’s so much work to be done!
Salaries are not fair! 

The people here are great, it is a very busy place to work. It is a friendly environment but there is no job security and salaries are below the average. In my field there are no opportunities career advancement.
