Many employees deliberately stretch out their tasks yet receive the same salary, and management seems to overlook this behavior. At the same time, the hardest tasks in plant care are consistently assigned to a select few, with their efforts going unnoticed and unappreciated. During performance reviews, managers often give "meeting expectations" ratings, regardless of the extra effort and dedication shown. It feels as though we’re being treated as machines—no matter how much we accomplish, the same individuals, especially the women, are repeatedly tasked with the most challenging jobs.

Unfortunately, there are numerous workers, particularly those from agencies, who display laziness, yet this imbalance is left unaddressed. It would be beneficial if management could acknowledge and reward the hard work of dedicated employees while taking steps to ensure fairness across all tasks.

Additionally, the strong body odor of some coworkers, particularly in small and enclosed spaces, creates significant discomfort. This not only affects workplace morale but can also lead to headaches and a drop in productivity. Addressing these concerns would greatly improve the work environment for everyone.

From coworkers to management to hr, this was a very needlessly difficult place to work. It's clear that this company had good people at one point. The people who are left are some of the least skilled, intelligent and professional I have ever been exposed to. They will write you up for not following policies that are not defined. They have NO employee handbook.

Advancement happens based on how many years you work at the company. No amount of skill or knowledge you demonstrate will allow you to advance.

If you manage to not get randomly fired without cause or laid off or have your position eliminated... Then maybe in 5 years you'll be able to move to a supervisor position where your sole responsibility is to take the heat off your manager.

If your goal or dream is to work with cannabis, prepare to be disappointed. There is very little concern for the health and safety of the staff or for the product produced. All the organigram product purchased I threw out after seeing how it gets grown/dried/packaged

Toxic workplace with Overpaid management that are completely disconnected from the working technicians. Management is very degrading to workers. Always saying that they are "just a tech" and see all techs as replaceable.  Supervisors are unprofessional/unethical, most on hard drugs and on power trips.. No communication between departments.. it's actually hilarious how poorly Organigram's  Cultivation department is managed. Very obvious that it's a guessing game for them and they actually have no clue what they are doing. Think twice before working for a corrupted corporation like OGI that treats their employees like disposable garbage.

This place is a dog-eat-dog culture. When I joined the company, they talked about lots of growth and people moving their way up thru the company. Which is nice to hear, until you quickly find out who the people are that are making their way up in the company. 
The company expanded too quickly and unfortunately a lot of people who happened to be around at the beginning got promoted into positions that are beyond their capability and their inability to adapt can leave you incredibly frustrated as a lower level employee. 
Also Organigram gave legionnaires to people in Moncton, as they finally publicly admitted to it in December of 2020.


Overall, I enjoy my job and have neutral opinion of the company. As with most large companies, the higher ups don't really care about those lower on the food chain. For a 12 hour shift, you only get two twenty minute breaks and one 40 minute break.  You don't really get an opinion on anything, things are just done and you're told after the fact. There is a pretty high turnover in some departments, so some feel that they don't have a whole of job security. In the grand-scheme of things, its not an awful place to work ,you definitely can do a lot worse.

Highly toxic environment to work in. Horrible management who won't take any suggestions.  Micromanaging to the extreme. HR works for the upper management and lies and bends policy not in favour of the employees. They demote employees who give years of service and usher them out the door on breaks. Leaving departments understaffed with no supervisor or leads and no warning. No chance to say goodbye or anything. Just totally blindsided. Asks you to come in on your vacation for meeting with HR. People who stayed to work through the pandemic got zero appreciation or recognition. Those who left to take the leave most never got their jobs back.    

“One area that could improve is the process for handling employee health and safety concerns. Right now, it often feels like concerns are not taken seriously unless backed by medical documentation. While doctor’s notes are important in some cases, there should also be space for employees to voice issues without feeling that paperwork is the only way to be heard. Encouraging open communication would strengthen trust and overall workplace safety.”


What is the best part of working at the company?
Terrible and vicious upper management. Highly disorganized. Turnover is abmysal. Steer clear.

Going to work at Organigram everyday.

A nightmare that you never wake up from.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
One unsolved crisis after another.

Constantly making staffing cuts and adding more work to current employees. Will only get a promotion if you're friends with management, good workers are not recognized and will get reprimanded for bringing up valid concerns. Safety is not a concern for them as long as the work is done, show no care for employees. Pay is above average and good medical coverage and RRPS plan is the only benefit.

It to bad Oganigram have lead hand  that never have a garden  in charge of you,and don't know how to grow vegetable.At the end 2019 it look like they rush employer to work faster (i ting if people work faster then the plant grow there are going to be a problem one day) .
