Working at Oakley is an experience of itself, the team was like a small family. You get some benefits even as a PT worker. Corporate could use some work, as they aren't that supportive to the team. It does get busy and stressful at time but thats retail. Depending on location not much chance to progress up the ladder due to limited amount of keyholders. Unless your location is really busy you won't get full time unless you are the store manager or assistant store manager. Key holders and associates are PT (depending on location)

A work day consists of pulling data and hashing stuff that has been done for years. Management likes to make things relaxed and panic too much on change. Co-workers are either too competitive or just relaxed. The hardest part is innovating work process. The most enjoyable part is the bike rides, beer, parties, gear, swag, downhill derby, the culture. Essentially you have to come in on the right foot in this company otherwise you can become stuck in the mud. Also there is a tenure issue here.

Great company to work for! 
As an assistant manager had to make sure all staff were in on scheduled shifts.  Maintain that all standards were upheld on sales floor.  Every employee was given the Oakley training once first hired.  As tech information is key on the Oakley product. 
The training was simple and enjoyable,  which helped in a lot of sales.  
Toughest part of the job was trying to give all the customers full attention during high traffic. However the environment is the store is amazing which made things easier.

Typical day working at Oakley is to set your Goals in selling. Keeping the store clean and greeting every customers that walks in.  Organizing stocks, the displays and folding all thr garments.  He king fitting rooms if any garments or hangers left inside by the customer. Sweeping, mopping and wiping the store during your closing. 

Summary points out the pros, the district manager is dumb as f*** tho, if he doesn't like your store manager he'll passive aggressively not respond to emails or tell us new sales for our stores to tell customers. That almost screwed me over because our store stopped having discounts for a few days and he never told the store manager.

Easy work but not really worth the strss that comes with it.

The pay is garbage so have fun working 2 jobs, promote you to asst store manger fast but no pay raise comes with it, will always pay you late (which is odd for a billion $ company) good training but boring.

I work with a great group of people which makes the job more enjoyable every day. Together we try to deliver the best customer service possible. It can be challenging at times but I have great support from my management team in store and at corporate.

When this business was crowfoot it was a fantastic company, the people who owned the business were invested and understood simple business economics. Once the company sold it went downhill, they eventually claimed bankruptcy and lost their business.

Luxottica wrecked the culture and technology of that Oakley was known for. Most of the great people that were at Oakley were termed or left when Luxottica took over. Unrealistic goals, hours, and uncaring for staff. 

Supportive management and welcoming team environment.  Plenty of room for professional growth and encourages business and personal balance.
