I worked a job as a paper deliverer when I was in middle school; I couldn't hold a proper part time job because of my age. It was something that was done 3 times a week, eventually lowered to two, that took about an hour or two on each of those days. The work was very simple and had lots of flexible time (but if you have this job, you probably have to do it right after school). Sometimes paper shipments to your house would be low on pieces of the newspaper or just not have enough and you couldn't do anything about it, which was super frustrating to hope no one complained and also feeling bad about not being able to deliver what they want. The pay is so poor that sometimes it's not really worth it. I don't think I was ever payed more than $40 in a month.

Overall, it's only worth doing this is you're happy to do a lackluster job (don't by the way) or are young enough where it's basically the only thing you can get. If you're older, especially if you can drive and want something like this, it's probably worth being a courier or something instead.

I worked when I was a kid around grade 5. I worked three days a week for a couple hours, folding the newspapers together and delivering them to each house. I was a kid so money wasn’t really important to me, I was more in it for the fun/experience. Either way, I worked my butt off working for the company and they paid me like 21-23$ a month, BEFORE removing my employee insurance fee  eventually it got so overwhelming, I started slacking off and giving the neighborhood their weekly fails a couple days late. I got a couple warnings but you don’t really get paid enough to care lol. I moved anyway and quit my job after a tough six months or so.

My route, I only had to do papers once a week. I'd have to roll them, secure them with rubber bands and deliver them on Thursdays. The pay was really small, and is not worth the labor put in. The best part is you can deliver the papers anytime you want, as long as they were delivered on the day they are supposed to be delivered on. Hardest part of th job was putting the papers together. Easiest part was delivering them.

They put newspaper in front of the house door at noon on Thursday and Friday. I start to organize the newspaper and start to delivery.

I learned doing anything need to be patient, and when I bored of something I can find a way to make it fun.

I became a more organized person.

The hardest part of the job is need to repeatedly doing one thing.

Newspaper deliverer is an awesome first job but it is not meant to be permanent. It is exhausting to bundle papers and then deliver them to so many houses. However, it is exciting when you are a young teenager looking for extra money.

not too fun delivering in snow or rain and the pay's not great for the amount of effort you have to put in and there were often issues with not having the papers or supplies to deliver papers even if notifying the head of my needs well before

A few hours, two days a week. Good for elementary school students. It's a pretty easy to do job, you get a bunch of papers and flyers delivered to your house, you put a flyer in each paper and hand them out to each house on your route.

If you're desperate for any money, do this job, otherwise I'd rather do janitorial work for a bar in my opinion because at least you get paid better and get breaks

It was a good first job working at Oakville beaver to get started in the work force but it was hard finding the time to deliver papers in bad weather and balancing it with education.

reporting director was outstanding, instilled confidence in his reps. atmosphere was combination of stress of deadlines mixed with good relations among the various departments
