Most of the senior, if not all, managers including those in the headquarters in the Netherlands are poor managers and do not know how to run a business. Outsiders who come for short periods of time for visits or to perform services, ask why the workers are so laid back unlike in other businesses.  Many of the managers just perform lip service, do nothing most of the time. Laziness is condoned and ignored.  No limits for overtime for the group classified as "integrators" who perform final machine testing. Many supposedly work "at home", which is equivalent to almost no accomplishment.  These are allowed by the managers.  Every week there are always parts shortages and had been constantly going on for years and remained unresolved.  No consequences for anyone who damages any of the equipment or parts of the building even if it's due to gross negligence. No consequences for anyone stealing company supplies or property. The enjoyable part of the job are the social activities and parties.

My typical day at Oce Display was a always busy busy day from the morning to the end of the day. Setting up the boardroom for meetings. Working on Accounts payable as needed on a daily basis where was most of the day. Paging as needed/photo copying/directing a busy switchboard/ Greeting Clients.
Assisting and monitoring the front as customers came in.

I learned SAP the accounting program which was a real challenge for me. 

Worked with a big company where I needed to know all the coworkers by name which again was a challenge for me and always assisting and helping them out as well.

The hardest part of the job was remembering 400 employee names.

The most enjoyable part of the job was setting up meetings and showroom.

I got this job and it was very well suited for my skill set. The environment in which we were contracted to was very nice, downtown Washington DC. The people at the site were always professional and warm. However, working with my supervisor was a HUGE nightmare! She was nasty and rude and I had no recourse. The guy in HR heard from me on almost a weekly basis.

The problem was that because the clients at the site were pleased with her work they couldn't remove her even though they were well aware of how nasty she was. My benefits sucked and were limited and the pay never seemed to be negotiable.

The product was good, the work was demanding but fun and high quality, the atmosphere though was unpleasant, with a feeling of some things unfair - the common practice was to hire temporary personnel and than lay it of, than hire again - lay off, and so on, to avoid paying the full time salary. Also CEO and her right hand had their own agenda, favoring who they pleased and disposing of who didn't agreed. Production Manager was fired when he stood up for his personnel. I liked the job and some of the people, but there was a bitter after taste.

Building a high tech flat bed printers. Everyday you learn a lots of things about mechanical issue, people at work station are so friendly and helpful. The hardest part of the job if you encounter a bad parts but for everyday job you learn a lots of thing and solve the problem. I enjoy for my job everyday are you learn and people around you are so helpful and so nice.

I enjoyed working there until the factory was closed.  If Océ buys your company, they will eventually close your division and pull your technology to their factories.  I learned this from someone at HQ.  If you work for a regional division of Canon, I don't know how they treat their employees but they mostly seem happy and the benefits are great.

I like to work in a friendly environment. I enjoy working as a team or independently. I like to get work done and have excellent time management. The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to be part of the company's goals, satisfactions, expectations and meeting them.

I liked working there I loved my job people were friendly and helpful
salary was averaged, if I would be full time salary would be great. hours and days where great, but it was only contract 6 months . I wish I was there full time.

Océ was the first company I worked in Vancouver. Nice people and good rhythm of work. Its a place where you can learn a lot of canadian work culture and prepare for other challenges to come.

upper management always kept entire company fully informed of achievements, success stories, setbacks etc...
had quarterly team building events.
