Like most toxic relationships - you don't know it's toxic until you get out.

For anyone dipping their feet into the broadcasting business, I can't in good faith recommend this company as a place to start. You will learn the basics and there will be opportunities, but that doesn't overshadow the many issues that plague the workplace environment. Including inappropriate and unwanted comments to preferential treatment and favouritism. Prepare to be underpaid, overworked and treated poorly by senior management. 

Steer clear and stay away.

Flipping burgers and living paycheck to paycheck is better than working here.

If you have lots of experience and are looking to climb the corporate ladder, you will be sorely disappointed. Decisions on management are based on friendships, and who will do it the cheapest.

Rife with self-importance, the many many managers at Acadia broadcasting are there for one sole purpose, to break you. 

If you listen closely, you can hear the faunt screams of former employees getting screwed.

Pretty bad place to work. Management is terrible and only care about themselves and covering their buttsThe general employees are good, but you are thrown into it without much training and then yelled at because your not doing things the way they want, but never even told you. They think they are a big company but the are amateurs, and afraid to do anything different. Pay is horrible. 

It’s a shame that this was once a very good company to work for, but it’s now become a “cover your own butt” mentality. Management is quick to point fingers at anyone but themselves and the loudest voices in the room bully their way to making decisions. Lots of turnover as a result 

Management will put unreasonable expectations on you and will blame you for things that go wrong without any accountability. Management covers their butt in order to kiss the ring of the president who they are all very scared of. It’s so toxic. Move along 

A great company if you are interested in learning a variety of experiences, a being challenged to improve processes and problem solve. People work together to achieve the organizational goals. The jobs can be demanding, but they invest in your potential. 

Loosing great staff members and the replacements are just not personable at all.  Owner of the company is fantastic, this is personal opinion that wasn’t shared by too many. 

I loved working here, the hours were great and the pay was alright. Would have loved to get paid a little more but the people were lovely and made it worth it. 

A solid benefits package is offered but pay is lackluster. Good company culture but reliance on deprecated software has created a massive headache for IT.
