One Source Office Supplies Inc.

As a full-time delivery driver, my day starts with loading my own van with the day's deliveries. Once everyone's van is loaded, we leave to go out for our deliveries, which varied between 40 stops on a small day to upwards of 55 on a busy day. I could take a break when I want for 15 minutes and resumed until I completed all my stops. I became more confident as I went along as doing deliveries for the first time took me out of my comfort zone a bit at first. I quickly became used to it and enjoyed the deliveries.

I had consistent meetings with the management to see how the job was going, how I am doing personally, and what I believe needs to change or be done better. It made a difference to have them ask about how I was doing.

The toughest part of the job was taking on more workload in the form of warehouse duties revolving around preparing the delivery day for all drivers, all the while having my own day of deliveries. Over almost 2.5 years of doing full-time deliveries, I got to know a LOT of amazing customers whom I now know by name. Seeing their company on my delivery day made me excited to get over there to see them again.

Overall, my experience here was very positive. As someone who enjoys driving and talking to people, I felt right at home for pretty much the entirety of my time driving for this company.

I have worked at One Source for over 5 years and it has been the most rewarding and challenging thing I have ever done.  Without much sales experience to start with they provided the tools and training needed for me succeed but your results depend on you and you alone but that means your success is also yours to look at with pride.

One Source is a platform that has been created for people to create their own success, its not the type of sales job where they don't care if you succeed or not as most sales job have a revolving door but not us.  One Source invests in its people and they expect a lot from you while you are at work but has a great work life balance overall. 

Management is very communicative and transparent about their expectations.  The sales targets are achievable if you put in the effort required.  The company culture is awesome, the team is great and everyone is working towards the same goal.

One Source is not another job, its a career path that is ready for people who want the time and effort they put in to their work to create meaningful change in their life.  Its not for the faint of heart, accountability is real and constant but rewards are too.




I've been working with One Source for over five years.  Days are mostly predictable and full of great relationship building conversations.  When problems arise, we game plan to come up with the best possible course of action.   I've learned to test my limits and better myself both within the workplace and out, as the skills I have learned are transferrable!   Management is a good balance of realistic yet empathetic.  They help you realize and actualize your potential.  This is beneficial for both the company and me as an employee - again because commission!  The hardest part of the job for me was to learn how to sell.  As someone who had never done sales before, this took some effort but has been a rewarding journey as the training is such that you do not have to have particular sales experience in order to succeed.   The most enjoyable part of the job is undoubtedly the people.   We have a great bunch over here, we're always looking to help each other out and we laugh a lot!

What is the best part of working at the company?
A few of the people who worked there are nice. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The owner are breathing over your shoulder all day or watching you on the cameras. All they are about it how little they can pay you and how much money you can make them. They will work you to the point of exhaustion and then yell at you for being sick. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very controlling and high stress and toxic. Work should always come first, nothing else is allowed to come up otherwise they will fire you. They also always think you are lying. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Make sure you are 10 minutes or more early, sitting through lots of meetings and then trying to get 10 hours worth of work done in the 4 hours you have left after all the meetings.

My experience at One Source is on the operations/support side. It's a great company to work for! The culture is one where everyone is focused and goal-oriented, but also fun and collaborative. Management actually cares about their staff and their success - they check in often to see how you are, encourage special projects or cross-training to other areas of interest/growth, and recognize your work and efforts. 

The work is varied and there's a fair amount of multitasking and problem solving. The main things that encourage success here are a positive attitude, willingness to learn, reliability and good work ethic. The rest can be taught and they'll put the time in to make sure you have the tools and knowledge to succeed. 

Overall it was nice to work along side with friendly coworkers. The manager is friendly and can be helpful but tends to be a bit too cheerful at times. I guess that is better than a grumpy degrading manager.

In terms of advancement, it is slow. I believe the local office supply market is saturated in the lower mainland. They all want a piece of the large pie Staples currently dominates. 

For me, personally,  it is hard to see this company running full steam in 10 years but the world is full of surprises.

Also the current office doesnt seem to be professional or official but I guess it would change once they move sometime 2019 or 2020.

I was very uncertain I would be able to do well as a salesperson, but after working here for about a month I feel much more confident.  My supervisor has been incredibly helpful with my questions and concerns, and has even helped me through challenging situations I've encountered.

There can be stress in trying to squeeze in as much productivity as you can into each day, but sticking to it pays off.  The hardest part of the job can be getting rejected during sales calls in the early goings, but it gets easier.

Management is friendly and supportive, and any issues are handled fairly and honestly.  Probably the best job I've ever had.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The Bosses were great guys and a well ru n company with great employees. They go the extra mile for there employees. 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being In the office as a salesman.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great and very positive and very successful driving confidence in the team.

Meetings and customer care and getting new clients

Great place to work because the people there seem to genuinely care about other people.  They really try to value their staff and make them feel included. They encourage staff to make decisions and grow through making those decisions. I'd recommend people with little or no experiences to give this company a try and you will likely grow professionally and personally. 

One Source Office Supplies is a great company to work for. They value their employees and apprreciate the hard work everyone puts in. They make you feel welcome and part of the company and don\y make you feel as if you're only an employee - you are part of a growing team.
