What you believe you learned:
What I learnt was to know what I don't want to become or be part of. The most typical cut-throat, sink or swim environment I have seen. 

Management is horrible, unfair and biased. Opportunities were not equal. If you are liked or related to high ups, you can skip bunch of levels overnight with no adequate experience or knowledge. Use your sick time as vacation all good. Go for vacation amidst occupancy no problem. Get one on one training while others get training by being bullied.

Workplace culture is extremely toxic. Constantly bullying sub trades, consultants and employees. 

Hardest part of the job was to be a women in this male dominated industry and have to work twice as hard as a fellow men coworker just to prove yourself while having the qualification and capabilities, be given admin work to do and constantly looked down. 

What was good about this job was the young team that were easy going and welcoming could make friendship with anyone in the company and not just your department.

Great work environment, modern new office in the heart of Downtown. Open conceptions working space with adjustable desks position and top notch office /computer equipment. A lot of perks such as free lunches occasionally, team building events, employees discounts, great benefits .
Friendly, professional and fun people to work with.
Everything is well organized and structured. Extremely fast paced and multitasking environment.
If you are young professional looking for starting and advancing your career Onni is the right place for you. You will be rewarded!!! But be prepared to work hard with endless “To-Do” List. 
No matter if you decide coming early or/and staying late or even working on a weekend, tomorrow you will always have twice more tasks to accomplish. But after all isn’t it everywhere now? I hope it’s not.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked in Onni on Vancouver Island, Colwood Corner project, the management was a joke, morons at upper level in the head office in Vancouver are absolutely pieces of xxxx.
Work environment is toxic.
Before I left, there were 7 PM left/fired already.
Now the PM is from mainland, a family member from the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Abusing language from higher level management members. Nobody want to take responsibility, just want to kick the ball out.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic, people don’t respect each other.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy, but not effective, busy making upper management people happy

BEWARE these guys are crooks and will destroy you if your a small business. If you do a contract job for them say goodbye to all your profit. They try to sweep all their mistakes under the rug and make you do extra work for free constantly. Getting a PO for extra work being done is like pulling teeth. They will highlight your minor mistakes and backcharge you heavily if you dont meet their unrealistic standards. These guys have run so many companies into the ground just to make more profit. You might as well just set all your cash flow on fire, it's the same thing as if you were to work for them. save yourself the trouble and stay far far away from this company

First of all, all the employees constantly complain about the company. Ones that have just started and ones that have been there for 5-7 years. That is how my first days started off. 
Constant complaining, even to customers and realtors they have come to know. Some of the older employees seem to try to make their customers (purchasing pre sale condos) feel sorry for them that they're not appreciated by ONNI so they try to get gifts/dinners, especially from realtors too. 
Just a bad first impression and its hard to move up - if you even want to since everyone above you is miserable. Low pay as well. All managers are awkward

a little update about my work at Onni. Some days were really tough, like crazy hard, while others were a breeze, easy peasy. We have a lot of employees on the site, including temporary workers, so it's always busy and go go go. We often find ourselves working extra hours to handle the workload, including the tasks of temps and other trades jobs. Overall, the staff is great, but there have been a few who didn't last long. It's important to have a strong and dedicated team to handle the demanding nature of the job. Learned alot of new things 

It’s fun to work with Onni if you are a motivated and hard working person. Onni isn’t a place for lazy and anti-social. You have to interact with different people everyday so keep that in mind. 

Bonus and raise are generous. Good medical  benefit. Work culture is fine. We have department activities occasionally and Christmas dinner. I guess it wasn’t too bad. 

Cons maybe sometimes we have to involve to the issue/problem that we are not responsible to but always good to learn. 

You'll work long hours, even 6 days/wk on salary. 

So you'll see how low the dollar amount per hour it is that your wage'll be when you do the math.

In the interview you'll be told that you're full time permanent, then they'll email the contract to you & if you read it, you'll discover that you aren't permanent. So the management lie to you about the terms of your employment.

They'll want you to sign-up for Epost paycheque system, but won't tell you that it's optional - you'll see for yourself.

Overall, not a good company to work for.

Scope of the work includes everything to do with a building maintenance and development.

Dealing with angry tenants and working with inexperienced upper management

stressed, passive aggressive, cutthroat

working with other teams who consistently underdeliver and overpromise. lots of travel

Horrible work environment.  Do yourself a favour and do not work for this group.  So many more opportunities out there.  The guys at the top think they are doing you a favour by hiring you.    If you value yourself do not work at Onni.  They love waving the carrot.  You will be underpaid all year hoping for a good bonus during review.  Never happens.

These guys love to yell, scream, make comments under their breath to you.  All around negative place to work
