Have worked at the OFA for 3+ years. Great Manager who entrusts us with challenging projects and to make decisions with autonomy (no micro-managing). 
Great work-life balance, there is a lot of flexibility to telework and Management encourages it along with other options as well (ie flex-hours etc)
Very flat structure (teams of ten, one Manager) so not much room for growth/advancement, but good salaries/benefits package is in place making employees very happy in their positions. Extremely low turnover.

Be careful which departmental manager you report to HR for harassment because one of them is secretly married to the HR Manager. You'll find yourself "constructively dismissed" before you can say "Ontario Human Rights Act" and then have your reputation smeared throughout the city for crossing "her man". By the way, important to note: this is an Arms Length agency of the Ontario Government, in case you didn't realise that. Talk about scandalous.

The job role requires familiar with financial product structure and derivatives. And some knowledge on risk modeling concept. But it is a nice place location to work just above Eaton Center. The job is not very difficult if you get used to the workflow. The most important is you may learn in depth on financial products on the market with a nice benefit package.

Be careful with this place. Management is concerned about their salary not about bringing in the best people. Some of the people are disgruntled and they likely are on medication. Very weird behaviour by some people, who are not able to get another job because government skills are quasi useless.

As a coop student, I met the best supervisors (mentors) here who always provided me with great opportunities for personal development and constructive feedback. It was really a great opportunity and an enjoyable work experience.

This was a great summer job. An excellent opportunity to work alongside lawyers, conduct legal research, and complete various administrative tasks. The workplace culture was very welcoming and accepting

Overall, the OFA is a stable and secure place to work.  The job work/life balance is one of the biggest advantages of working here.  Career advancement on the other hand can be difficult, as employees rarely leave their positions.

The Frat House feeling at this place is overwhelming. If you are older than the staff at the Eaton Center food court don't even expect to fit in here.

Just served as an intern and not too much experience. People are nice and manager are encouraging. A great place to learn as a student and have opportunities to present to senior leadership team.

Overall, pepople there were nice and enjoyed to work with, but you need to take initiative to make your experience more extensive. Small team and flat structure.
