A typical day at work would be coming in prepared with lesson plans and activities for the amount of classes and students you have, which can range from two to three classes at most (four to six hour shifts). Morning classes run from 9:00-1:00 with a one hour lunch from 1:00-2:00. Evening classes are from 2:00-8:00. I learned how to use Excel spreadsheets for keeping track of marks, assignments, and performance as well as how to prepare report cards and final grades. My co-workers are all passionate about what they do and enjoy working there due to the pleasant and relaxed environment. The hardest part of the job is how to deal with problematic students when in an unexpected situation, such as when a student looked through my bag to see the exams. The most enjoyable part of the job is the field trips and getting to know the students outside of the classroom as they experience new things about Canada.

When I worked there I never got paid on time. The owner is either unaware of the Employment Standards Act or chooses to ignore it. Contracts are rotating every 5 weeks for esl courses and 3 months for other courses. Several employees have been "fired"  after they quit. The place is a revolving door with new employees-high turn over for a reason. They still owe me $1400 in wages and also a week termination pay.  In the past year 6 deans came and went that I know of. Fellow employees are generally really nice and supportive but the harassment produced through some of the administration ramps up the pressure to the point of bullying at best.

I volunteer to be deans assistant when I was study in Ontario international college. The school had just moved to a new address, and there wasn't enough staﬀ to sort through the students' tests, assignments, and grades. At the same time, some new teachers have some misunderstandings and prejudices towards students, so I take on the role of a bridge of communication and monitor and report. After the eﬀorts of the dean and I, the students were able to submit their applications to the university in time, and we corrected many data errors. After several changes of teachers, the result is satisfactory to both the students and the school。

Run as fast as you can away from this school. It is a revolving door for teachers and the only ones who stay feel they have no choice. Directors change frequently because the school never pays on time or when they do the cheques bounce. Management and administration staff is unhelpful and harass any employee who complains. Anyone who tries to leave is 'fired' and any who complain are let go too. There have been multiple complaints against the labour board yet this school is somehow still open. 
Students are nice but hate the school too- stay far far away!!!

In my experience the principal withheld all teachers’ salaries for more than 8 months. By offering competitive rates the principal Anchuan Jiang takes advantage of the teachers’ hard work and does not pay their salaries. This action goes unpunished since the claims to the Ministry of Labour against this school proved to be ineffective.  The principal is dishonest, and he does not pay to his employees, he simply finds new ones, so there is no reason to work for this school.

Your pay will be late, school is still extremely unorganized. I taught here for almost a year and it was a disaster. We feel sorry for the Chinese kids who pay thousands of dollars to go here.

Classes average two hours each.
Management has high expectations and hit teachers with last minute unpaid meetings during lunch and before school.
Your co-workers will help you settle into the flow of things.

Teachers are professional and the college is very spacious with enough classes. The management is weak and the payments are most of the time delayed. Students mainly come from China and their English is low.

The reviews about this school delaying the payment are TRUE.    It is hard to believe this is happening in Canada. If you are still willing to work here, be prepared to deal with late paychecks.
