Here at Ontario Smart Energy I am a call representative and have been working here for almost a year. There has been significant growth in the company as well as in my career here. I have actually been able to move up within the company. In all honesty this is a performance based job which does mean you have to ensure to meet quota by the end of week. Although we all do have bad days, their way of ensuring numbers being met- I believe is just and fair. If one day you're not doing well then another day during the week  you can get 2x your quota for the day,  ensuring you meet the end of the week's quota. Not to mention their training is consistent and very helpful. Should you be needing the extra support, the call rep managers and team leaders have no issue taking the time out. The environment is really great personally. Everybody is so nice and willing to help every step of the way. They also include team events/activities outside of work which are not mandatory but quite much fun. I find it also betters the environment and work dynamic, which ultimately helps us work better collaboratively to support the company's end goal as well as our own. Commission my friends, it's like a little bonus surprise for when you're really hitting those numbers. Now it is not 100% guaranteed as many factors come to play that can be out of our hands, but together Sales Reps and Call Reps work hard-play their part and essentially get the job done. It's not always laid back, we have days where sometimes we're working harder than others and some days where we've met our goal way in advance. This company grows each and everyday providing more for us employers. It is vital that you do indeed have good communication skills, the team will take it from there on out to help you succeed. 

I am a former call centre representative for this company. The environment itself was fun and I did feel greatly supported by management and coworkers. There is a great team dynamic here. The job itself can be stressful at times due to the fact it is performance based and there is a quota that must be met daily. This can sometimes take a toll, however there are a lot of opportunities for support and ensuring you are trained properly to ensure this quota is being met. There is never any judgement for asking questions or expressing the need for additional training. Hours are somewhat long but very bearable. Thick skin and the quick ability to respond to objectives are two assets that help people to succeed in this role. I would recommend this position to others as there is opportunity for growth and personal development, it may take time to see the payoff but it will come. If you are looking for a work place with close relationships among staff too this is definitely the place. In my professional career, I have faced a lot of horrible management, but this is not the case at all with this job, as it is evident that the managers genuinely want to see their workers succeed and they care about their well being. A nice change from working in the service industry. 

Ontario Smart Energy is a great place to learn new skills that you can use outside of the workplace as well. Management is energetic and will give you the tools to excel here. Since it is performance based, you have to really work at your craft and continue to learn and grow to keep up with everyone else. Management is also really understanding and accommodating for any issues or priorities you have outside of work, and have had my back since day one.  While it is a competitive environment, everyone tries their best to help each other out and motivates one another to do better. All in all, if you're driven and want to see yourself grow into someone you didn't really think you could ever become while making some good commission and bonuses, this is a a good place to start. I came here for experience and to learn, but I stayed for the people I work with and the environment.

In all honesty this job was probably one of the worst jobs that I had ever experienced. Not honest with their customers very disloyal. They try to say customers always come first but it sounds like it’s the company that comes first. They lie about the position that you’re doing once hired. They expect you to know everything about the company and do job duties on your own with only less than a week of training. The pay was never announced before getting hired and during the time that I was hired until I asked for the contract. Management is poorly run. Definitely would not recommend this job to any university students or students straight out of school.  The co-workers were amazing and friendly!

I’ve worked a lot of sales positions in the industry and Ontario Smart Energy has been my favourite by far. Like any commission based position you get out of it what you put into it, the support from management makes succeeding a lot more attainable for me. I feel like an entirely different person from last year because of this place. My confidence is through the roof and my skills and income has been steadily increasing every quarter. 10/10 recommended for any go-getter high ambition individuals. If you aren’t really aspiring for an above average lifestyle I’d recommend staying away you won’t really fit in with the company culture. 

When starting this Job I wasn’t really aware of what I was getting myself into but along the way I slowly started understanding and learning. The management not only help you succeed in your work life but also teach you how to thrive in your personal life as well. What I really like about the company is that from owners to management they have all worked   in my position before for other companies so they understand what a day to day is like. They know what tools are needed to be successful and they make sure that you have access to them. All in all this is not an easy stress free job, this is a job that challenges you and shifts your mindset.

My experience with Ontario Smart Energy was nothing short of exceptional. From the get-go, their team demonstrated a level of professionalism and efficiency that stood out. The representatives were not only highly knowledgeable, but also focused on making sure I understand the needs of the company. 

What truly impressed me was their proactive approach to problem-solving. Ontario Smart Energy went above and beyond to address concerns before they could escalate, showcasing a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Working at Ontario smart energy has increased collaboration and assist in interpersonal communication skills. An average day is the team saying "Good Morning" as you walk in and your managers ensuring the start to your day is well. You are given a goal with help to achieve such. Help is always there when needed and they genuinely care about your growth not only in the company but as a person. I would recommend this company to anyone that has interest in challenge, objection handling and just general sales. 

I have been working at Ontario Smart energy for a year now. It is not always easy, but I love what I do, and the people that work here. I have learned a lot about marketing and communication, and I feel like i have become a whole new person through this job. The managers there teach you a lot and they really take their time with each person. Lastly it always feels nice being apart of a company that positively impacts the environment.
