Ref soccer games at different age groups and levels, this enhances my knowledge in many different  ways. The ability to calm someone down when their angry, the ability to make split second decisions, to make sure everything that the game is being played safe and fair.  Co-workers (lines-men/middle ref) are very friendly and you gain a lot of knowledge from their experience. Hardest part of the job is making a game changing call (ex; red card, offside on a goal, penalty in the last minute, etc.), The most enjoyable part of the job is watching the kids play and how they get emotional about the game, which reminds me of how I was when I was there age.

Coaching children with Autism Disorder, and Special needs, instructing and training young soccer players; enhanced team-building skills and leadership qualities. 

There are many challenges in coaching soccer, such as different levels of talent, different player backgrounds, and the player’s parents, as convincing parents to let their child shine his or her own light and be their own person is not easy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of refereeing for this company. It is always a good experience meeting different teems and getting more experience with each game. You learn a lot in terms of communication and decision making. hardest part of the job is the negative feedback that you usually get from parents no matter how well you are doing your job. but you can never let that get to you. Just make sure you're doing the best that you can

Working as a referee for the OSA has been a wonderful experience so far. You are given the opportunity to grow as a person as well as see the development in those around you on the field. Although work may be difficult at times, it is the sport of soccer that we all enjoy and love so much that makes this job as good as it is.

Being a soccer referee for Ontario Soccer Association was a challenging position, it demands many different abilities and a lot of confidence. Dealing with coaches, players, and parents can become rather difficult and hard to control when things get out of hand.

a typical day lasts about 5-7 hours, working in the soccer industry you get an array of people from all cultural backgrounds that you work with, making for a very interesting and enjoyable work environment

Good pay for the work you do, only get opportunities to work once in a while but very fair pay. Would recommend for a student that has any athletic interests is an easy way to make extra cash.

Working as a referee is great especially a teenager balancing multiple things such as school and extra curriculars. good payment for the time you spend doing it but not the most reliable job.

Manage soccer games for children aged 5-10, deal with un cooperative parents, manage tournaments and events. I particularly like to watch the children enjoy the beautiful game.

I did not really have specific co-workers. I would choose the games I want to referee and then go to them. Hardest part about the job was the stress from all the parents that were yelling from the decisions you were making.
