Company is very difficult to work for.  Lots of hours, if that's all you needed, though those have been cut recently as well.  Pay for electricians in their third period was around $26-$28.  Although pay is "performance based", no matter how much performance you gave, a raise was a tough sell.  Also, do not rely on promised wage amounts made before you sign official paperwork.  They may tell you that you'll get a raise to a higher amount, but it will not happen.

Hours were long, frequently having to work long overtime at the end of your normal day.  If you were unlucky enough to be sent out of town for work, you could expect to have to keep working until the job was done or be forced to stay in a hotel overnight and continue the next day (and so on and so forth) until the job was done ... whether you had a family/kids/life at home or not.

Excuses given were, "This is oilfield work, long hours are to be expected!" although oilfield pay and benefits were not part of the deal.  Nor was this expectation made clear when you're hired to do the job.

Hours were also long because the management will send an electrician up to fix a problem, find a mechanical or hydraulic problem and expect the electrician to fix the other trade's issues.  When you tell them you're not comfortable fixing another issue, you'll be expected to do it anyway.  The management will tell you the problem (whether they've seen it in action or not) and expect you to confidently tell the client that that is definitely the issue, whether you agree or not.

Turnover can be extremely high here due to the attitude shown towards the employees from management/CEO/VP.  Although the VP and CEO are willing to meet with you, on occasion, personally, don't expect to see any results from your meetings.  The company is all that matters when it comes to decisions and that's the end of it.

Additionally, while they were improving the pre-planning stages, there are very few, if any, drawings made up to show exactly how the electrical system is supposed to work.  Wire it up on the fly and when it doesn't work, you're asked why and told to fix it.  No drawings means it's extremely difficult to track issues down and repair.  Boxes are a rat's nest of wires, due to improper planning, and wireways and absolutely disgusting.  Electrician's nightmare.

This company had such bad credit standings with all of its suppliers at the time I worked there that management would have to use their own credit cards to secure purchases for the company and then article expended claims HOPING they'd get their money back

Great place to work. very laid back yet attentive atmosphere. hours were long but pay was good so cant really complain. the staff consists of many very skilled and dedicated individuals that have much to teach. However the shop staff was almost knowingly expendable with very little job security as the market fluctuates, this being the one major downside of working for Option industries

Had a good  experience  while  I worked here got do build  some awesome  projects.  Boosted my resume. For sure. Do recommend  working  here if you enjoy  building big exciting things. 

To much of discrimination of minorities, I was the only person who being a minority worked for over 4 years,they would give bad references to the company you applied for a job and tell lies about your work records

Overall near the bottom of the list in employers I have ever had.  Management decisions rarely made sense and treatment of employees seemed to lack in any sense or reasoning.

it was a fun work place with many interesting builds that were custom built in house with its machine shop welding shop as well as a water jet and had projects that were first of its kind in the oil and gas industy.

Complete arrogance and lack of knowledge on the part of senior management.
Awful project and finance management.
Complete disrespect for all employees including managers

Never paid bills. Relied on Management to lay with there Credit Card. Always issues. Not a great place to work. Other employees back stab you. Owners have never built nothing in there life but think they can build anything.

I liked  working  there is was working  on  new  plc controls  the  money  was  good  and  good  benefits 
I  work  a lot of overtime  I learned  plc  controls
