1. A typical day at work includes 60% of work and 40 % of fun, which makes you come back to office on the next day and wont tier you to the core neither makes your process boring.
2. Initially I have been a part of "MICROS" Team where i have learned the complete end to end process of PA Team which includes PAC's, Booking/Funding of the project, Processing, Revenue & Invoice generation, De-booking Till the project gets closed.
Then i have moved to PA "FUNDING TEAM" where i have learned complete funding process for different regions ie."APAC, AMER, JAP AC ,EMEA".
3.Management in Oracle goes as per Hierarchy, everything works as per Hierarchy but that doesn't mean that we cant approach Higher level Management with our issues or doubts. Employees are given their space to provide their suggestions on any process related or management related ideas.
4. I don't think any part of my job is Hard, if you posses sound  knowledge about the process and you know to handle LOB in different situations and maintain quality as well as good quantity of work.
5.I enjoy ever bit of my Job, but the best part is with every funding or processing we come across different situations and challenges which makes the work even more interesting.
6.I have great Co-workers, everyone is really helpful , they push each other to do better and better in their career. they enjoy when we have fun at work on every Friday . we have a great buch of enthusiastic and young people which even includes my managers and Team leads.

I worked at Oracle full-time (More than 5 years)
Pros
 Work from home for many roles.
 Good retirement contribution matching.
 Excellent Employee "assistance" programs (incl. relocation).
 Support for community volunteer programs.
 Most employees work well together (when management supports it) both locally and globally..
Cons
 Executive team is focused solely on cost reductions and has been for years now, hence: work from home is encouraged, no raises or promotions for staff but very high pay for co-CEOs compared to market peers, significant recruitment efforts around fresh grads who will are low paid AND will NOT receive real salary increases either, see OpenWorld keynotes by Co-CEO for perspectives on cost cutting. Forced time off over Christmas season, meaning it comes out of your vacation allowance!

 
Advice to Executive Team: Share the wealth, including promotions. We're working just as hard as you.

Service cloud was not the best org in the company, it was a bit disjointed due to transition to OCI 2.  Hard to say if it was improving, but lots of work, not enough people.  Work Life balance was not ideal.  At least not in the org i was in.

Been there a long time, last few years were a lot of stress as we transitioned into OCI 2 (This Oracle Cloud infrastructure is same as AWS as it was designed by the same folks).  Mandatory to work across cross functional teams.  

You don't get a raise every year, rarely a bonus.  I felt underpaid and had a lot of responsibilities as I cared about project success.  Challenge to get help.  Because everyone was busy.  But be nice and appreciative and people will help you.  It's as simple as that.  There's lots of really nice, smart people.  You do get the odd not-so-nice condescending person.  It's rare, but they are there.  And you will know who they are.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Every company has few jobs where it would be stressful to work esp. when dealing with Customer issues. But it is compartively good over here.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Every one is very co-operative and always ready to guide each other whenever the need arises. Team collaboration is the best here. You get the chance to showcase and enhance your skills while on the job. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work timings are super flexible. You work according to your schedule until and unless there is something urgent/showstopper.

I joined Oracle when they were looking for someone with Avaya Telephone experience for their Call Center.
Being interested and having the time, I showed interest in Desktop support. I was keen and interested in working with new laptops and configuring them for new hires. Management then allowed me to be the onsite tech support for the hub of which consisted of over 100 sales reps.
If there was an issue that I could not resolve, there was always our Global IT group to turn to for assistance.
Being in the IT group allowed me to travel to Oracle's other hubs in the US during their Class Of Program when my assistance was required.
I was considered one of the techs wearing two hats, Telephony & Desktop Support.

To be quick about it, Oracle is a massive and successful organization. Larry Ellison's personality and character trickles down to every crevice of the company. If you are motivated by 1) Money 2) Recognition and 3) Money, this might be the best place for you. For me, I'm motivated by satisfying customers, solving new problems, and overcoming difficult challenges. If you're looking for the work itself to be rewarding instead of simply the reward, I would not recommend Oracle to you.

Work day includes meeting/greeting students and instructors - this was the highlight of the work day.  The culture is very difficult in that there is always the threat of reduction in work force.  The Sales teams have very strict quotas that given this climate are difficult to achieve.  I enjoyed very much the people I worked with all over the world, learning new cultures, and autonomy from managers and directors.  I enjoyed remote work and entering the Education centers 2x a week.  I also enjoyed whatever travel was involved in this role.

It's not hard to hit the 6 digit salary, but you'll expected to put a lot of extra time... comes down to make less if you calculate how much you make per hour invested. The extra time is not at the client (40hrs at the client), but the preparation, self-training, etc.
It's overwhelming, it's a huge company with lots of information and technologies and nobody will hold your hand, if you can't swim... you will sink. There are brilliant people to work with... but most of them will be virtual.

Normally we were doing the reconciliations of all revenue accounts and at the end of the month we reviewed everything and reported.
We were testing at the same all Oracle finance reports and updates.
I was working with people from different parts of the world and it was really a great experience. They were good professionals and we had a good environment even in a lot of pressure moments.
The worst part it was to work late when you were doing the close of the fiscal year but it is part of my job and I am concience it will happen always.

Oracle is a dream company for anyone and was for me as well which i could make true on April 2013 when i entered the Oracle family.
Worked in the ERP team and all colleagues were very cooperating.
No stretching at work is demanded and its your take on completing your task on time.Environment is friendly and no pressures.
I loved working for 2 years there and would cherish the spend time with games like table tennis then ethnic day and other functions apart from work organised very well. Best of its kind.
