For going out to a camp the pay was just ok for a helper. For a driller the pay is average. There just wasn't very good motivation and I just got tired of broken equipment and constant problems with this and that. Some of it is just how it goes in the industry. As a New driller there is opportunity to get on a drill and they have nice smart drills. Problem is you are going to get very little support and no proper training. There is no driller training program, you just have to wing and try not to break the drill. The mine itself is decent, the camp is decent.

Easy company to get in for some experience and get out kinda deal. I unfortunately worked 4 years for this so called company. Wages and bonus are not great . This company will not hesitate to throw you under the bus . And will not take ownership for the countless pay mistakes . Just a heads up make sure u check your pay stubs because they will not be shy to take your money . And the big one for me here is management , this is a family based company and got boses who have no clue how to do their job , and have only about 3-6 months drilling experience..... I my self would never work for orbit again . Very unorganized company

Had a chance to get experience that I needed to leave and find beter work. Must be a thick skin kind of person to excel quick and get what you want. This company is just horrible when it comes to managing there employees. You will wait months for ppe, expected to lie on their behalf. They will never take ownership for anything that goes wrong with your pay or wrong with lack of equipment and gear. Only work for them to gather your experience and leave. That's what I did and I'm a much happier person that I'm gone.

Working alone is what I like . Was fun and I learned alot

Nothing stressful about working with that company 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It’s good. People stick to their jobs. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Went by fairly quick , was nice and quiet

Fair wage, got gear you needed but no excess, benefits were lacking especially dental 500 yearly, they gave boots hard hats and coveralls which were washed through a cleaning company. Good group of co workers seen many helpers get the sticks in 6 months. Shifters pushed for footage strict on policies for our safety. Overall a good company for people starting out drilling 

Orbit is a great company that is improving the way they do things everyday. Very innovative drills, improved pay structure and excellent supervisors. New management has improved the company immensely. Orbit has always provided me with lots of work, i have never been layed off and have been with the company for 5 years.

Wage is under every other drilling company , benefits they provide that you pay for are essentially useless if you have a family or need anything special. The equipment is under maintained and broken lots. They run everything as cheap as possible and blame workers for low production. Would only recommend getting initial training and leaving after you get signed off. 

All depending if your willing to be adaptedable and go other places for working. Great people so far haven't had any real issues with anyone  Great company all around. We all work hard to keep the buisness in place. Safety is very important.

If your looking to wait extended lengths of time for ppe this is the company for you. 

If you want to ask what your bonus is and never get an accurate response again this is the place for you. 

And as a kicker if you want to work overtime and have the company steal some of it from you. Your a winner this is the place for you.

The supervision in their sudbury contract (craig mine) is matched with a 5 year old learning to say mom very inexperienced and extremely irritating to work with only listens to himself no other options very basic and no experience dealing with adults or communicating. Surprised they still have a contract there
