Pros
The work is great, working with clients, suppliers, and contractors gives you a lot of important experience in the field. There are a lot of opportunities for creativity in this role specifically. The work environment is generally good when it comes to colleagues, it is a high stress job as it should be in this field. Commission and pay in this role are generally good. Free food every other Friday is nice.

Cons
Management. The management team is micro-managing constantly, they always seem to believe you're not doing your job. Employee turnover is bad, the management don't seem to care much about the long term employees. They work you until you burn out, then hire someone else to replace you. Gossiping from management to employees is unprofessional, they need to better soundproof their offices as the entire office can hear when management is yelling at each other or employees. Processes need to be updated, a lot of information gets lost due to everything being paper copies instead of keeping track online. Bottom line, more employees are needed as the company continues to grow, but they refuse to hire people that will stay long term and better the company.

Advice to Management
Treat your long term employees better, this will make for a happier work environment and fix the work culture. Let employees work, stop micromanaging. The amount of recording the employees do to show they are actually working takes up far too much time when they could be getting more important things done. You also really don't need to be paying a Team Building trainer to train the staff when the recommendations he gives are not implemented and don't change the way you're working with the staff. Overall, it's too bad you're like this as I would have enjoyed working here for a long time had it been any other way.

The working hours are flexible to some extent, and management is very good about allowing employees in certain positions to have a degree of autonomy with their work. In my experience, overtime is neither expected or enforced. Projects tend to be small to mid-scale, but they provide diverse challenges and valuable opportunities for learning and professional growth. Strong time management is essential, as the workload can be very demanding at times. 

An area for improvement for the company is better interdepartmental  communication. Greater alignment between sales, design and operations could enhance efficiency and reduce bottlenecks. 

The company culture is a standout, with engaging annual events that foster team building, and the bi-weekly free lunches are a nice perk. 

The most challenging part of the role is balancing the demands of both the sales and operations teams. Being equally involved in both can make it difficult to meet all deliverables without feeling stretched thin. 

That said, the best part of the job is the professional growth I've experienced. Working closely with various project stakeholders has significantly improved my communication skills and expertise in the building industry.

A typical day at work consists of team driven results, creating solutions to any challenges that we face. Management continuously guides and supports the employees through any challenges that they face. The worklplace culture is very positive, and everyone works collectively as a team to bring in results. The hardest part of the job is striving to always improve the client experience. Every client and project is unique in their own regard, and we work very hard on a daily basis towards constantly improving our systems and processes in pursuit of the best client experience that we can provide. The most enjoyable part of the job is helping our colleagues become the best possible performers that they can be. The work crew of contractors seemed like an amazing bunch of people. Zero help from management, salesmen sell nothing but snake oil, fixing on change orders that never stopped. Most project managers are clueless/useless. Most of the office staff are a giant "family" and in a constant circle jerk of how they should arrange the next golf game.

There is zero care for the in-house crew and they are constantly worked until the point of needing to take time off for a small break between. 

There is no safety precautions put in place, and workers are expected to work within dangerous situations as a general, with zero prevention put in place. No PPE is provided.

Overall the PM's are idiots, most of the office staff are worthless, but the in-house crew is great. Steer clear of this company.

The work day entails site visits of all active and upcoming projects to ensure the work is progressing at the appropriate pace and then administration work in the afternoon.
The single biggest asset that you learn is problem solving and managing relationships both internally and externally.
Management has set up a working environment that removes barriers and provides an environment for employees to succeed.
Strong work culture where everyone supports one another.
The most challenging part of the job is managing multiple priorities while dealing with unforeseen challenges and dealing with them in the most efficient manner.
The most rewarding part of the job is a satisfied client that appreciates the effort that went into their project.

I've grown leaps and bounds in my career with the support of the management team at OGC. I've been given all the tools and support I need to be effective and efficient. I work at my own pace, set up my own schedule and have freedom to make decisions. I've learned how guide a team, to delegate responsibilities, time management and levelled up my organization skills. I enjoy going to work every day, I feel appreciated, and an integral part of something huge.

I thoroughly enjoy working @ OGC as its a great learning environment and the team is fantastic!

I started here with ought a BCIN and the team had asked me to get it to better myself and its something I should always had needed to get. I finally got it and my team was quite happy for me which was great!

The hardest part of my job was learning our software. TBH it wasnt really that hard just some getting used to. 

It is a privilege to work with such talented peers and such passionate leadership. Everyday is fun, interesting and something new. 

The leadership team is always there to push you forward and drive you to become the most successful version of  yourself.

The team is more like a family than anything else - leadership really understands you as an individual and uses that knowledge to help  you grow.

It is a unique career not replicated anywhere else.
