It seems like hard work goes unnoticed.
Witnessed people promoted based on favouritism, while some more deserving, long term employees were overlooked.
Very high turnover in all departments, because the expectations were higher than the pay grade.  A lot of unfair treatment.
Some really great co-workers and even some of the managers were really easy to get along with and work with. 
I’d recommend working there as a stepping stone for your future career because you will have opportunities to move around the company if you wish and gain tonnes of experience. 

I worked in Owasco Volkswagen Sales department as a sales and leasing consultant.

Just like most Dealerships Owasco has its ups and downs. I loved the people I worked with and I had many great mentors, the owners are very much involved with their company and will not hesitate to help you if needed.

I learned many things from Owasco and I wish them the best of luck, if you get a chance to work with them I would say to just be humble and listen to what they have to say.

You work long hours, you don’t get a break, you barely get a lunch. Never applauded for good work ethic.  
All they are interested About is their sales and customer reviews.
The turnover at this place is absolutely ridiculous because they under pay their employees, benefits are horrible, it’s a very stressful and unappreciative job. 

A typical day at work in volkswagen was mostly relaxed get a list of cars that are going out for the day grab the car and clean and send it right back out, management wasn't to strict as long as the job was getting done and the cars were coming out very very clean. The hardest part of the job was probably end of month sales when we had to pump out a lot of cars that were sold 

Having worked at other dealerships I can honestly say that Owasco is a truly a great place to work. The staff and management are like a big welcoming family. I have personally seen and experienced upper management go above and beyond time and time again. There is constant support, competitive wages and an overall relaxed feeling which is rare to find in the automotive business. 

An average day would involve maintaining systems on premises which included backups, network aspects and staff systems as well as the security systems.

Networking with other people was a key aspect in this position as everyone needed to be addressed on a level they understood.

Graet coworkers. Little support from management. "Training" consisted of sitting at a computer reading modules. If ot weren't for fellow salespeople wouldn't have learned anything. Down time I'm winter very challenging as base pay is below minimum wage.

High paced dealership environment, some room for growth but limited. 

Most dealerships have a rotating door team base and it's applicable to this one. lots of new faces come and go, management is pleasant to deal with depending on your department 

I started at Owasco as a lot attendant, but there was room to move up in the company. Once I had graduated I was given the opportunity to work in my field of interest as a Junior Systems Administrator. Very friendly people, and kind-hearted management.

Management is horrible. This place is a revolving door. Owners  son runs the place and is clueless and ignorant. Flat rate shop where the favourite mechanic gets fed and the customers get taken advantage of. Had to get labour board involved to get paid. Worst place ever to work.
