As a paralegal student, I did my work placement with P&M Personal Injury Law and am very happy with the experience I've had.

P&M has an amazing team that is friendly, knowledgeable, and wants to set you up for success. Instructions are clear, students are never given impossible tasks, and the team is happy to answer any questions you may have.

You will learn a lot about case and file management, and have many opportunities to build relationships with clients. You will pick up many practical and soft skills relevant to both personal injury and general legal work. You will learn how to use software like PrimaFact & FileVine, and learn a lot about accident benefit & tort law.

Your goals here are clear, which makes P&M an excellent environment to both learn and prove yourself.

The team is very friendly, and I recommend that students come into the office some days to get the chance to meet everyone. The office is also fully set up for work from home.

Whether you are interested in accident benefits and tort law or not, I would recommend a co-op placement with P&M to any paralegal or law clerk student. You will gain very practical experience here in an environment that wants to succeed, and meet a lot of friendly faces.

I completed my field placement at P&M Personal Injury Law and had a very positive learning experience overall.
During my time as a co-op student, I felt respected and welcomed, thanks to the supportive atmosphere and the people I worked with. The environment was professional and calm, which made it easier to concentrate and improve over time.
Instead of simply pointing out mistakes, my supervisor took the time to explain why things were done a certain way. This helped me understand the broader context of the work rather than simply correcting individual tasks. The assistants were also thorough in their explanations, so I never felt rushed or dismissed when asking questions.

As a co-op student, I have learned so much throughout my time in the firm. Working in the firm is fulfilling in many different ways such as learning to do different tasks. I enjoyed my placement in the firm as much as I have learned many things. The people are very understanding and helpful. Everyone answers questions or queries in a very timely manner and they never forget to say "thank you" every time I complete tasks. Overall, the working environment is great and I learned a lot.

I have been a co-op student at P&M for the past five months. My experience has been really positive, especially as someone who started off very anxious to succeed. My supervising lawyer and his law clerk went out of their way to be kind and encouraging. The work was engaging and manageable, plus I was always given reasonable time frames to complete my tasks. I learned so much, in a stress-free environment, and am truly grateful to P&M for this stepping stone to a law clerk career. 

During my co-op placement with P&M, I have felt completely accepted as reflected by their positive culture and I have had a close relationship with those who have mentored me. The staff at P&M always encouraged me and worked alongside me whenever I had any questions. This was one of the most friendly and welcoming places I have ever worked and I have learned a great deal about their core values. The work was certainly manageable and  I am sincerely grateful to P&M for giving me an opportunity to gain experience in the field, as a stepping stone into my future career in law.

I recently completed my placement at P&M Personal Injury Law and had a truly rewarding experience. I learned a great deal throughout my time there, thanks to my mentor who was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient,  and understanding.

Working at P&M is an excellent experience. It is very professional legal firm with very smart, hardworking, professional and friendly people.

I gained a lot of experience in AB/Tort claims procedures, SABS and other regulations. 

The management is very understanding and supportive.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult clients, and amount of tasks the work is requiring.

The Team at P&M make you feel welcomed when your new. They are work focused and do mainly remote work, which is amazing. The staff members and management are kind and patient with students and found myself quite comfortable very fast. I learned so much in relation to personal injury and was happy with the experience I gained.
