PACE LAW FIRM

I am a hard worker.  When given a task it gets done, no complaints, just results.

Although you may think I am over qualified, I would like the opportunity to work in a different field other than law.

I am a people person and enjoy helping others.  I work well with others and make every effort to get along with all.

My typical day would be working on tort files to advance claims in personal injury for the plaintiff.  I would draft letters and all pleadings for our client's files.  I would have daily contact with insurers and lawyers for both sides of an Action.

Over the years I have worked well as a manager and teacher to students and graduates just beginning their careers.

The hardest part of my job would have been getting clients to understand that their vision of what they should get at settlement is not realistic.  I have learned how to talk to clients and encourage them to move forward with their lives.

What I enjoyed most is the challenges of the job and having to think outside the box.

The truth is I just want to work in an environment that is conducive to productivity that allows me to work with the public outside of working in law.  The salary cut for me is not an issue, being happy helping people is worth the sacrifice of a large salary.

 Coming from a much larger company with a well established marketing team , I started out as a coordinator here at the firm alongside a sr. specialist with the both of us being the first internal mini marketing team the firm has ever had. They have cycled through a few advertising, SEO, and communications agencies in the past from my understanding but have never fully had their own in house creative team. 

With basically a clean slate for us to work with, alongside a super supportive president who is very progressive and very open minded with any idea we bring forth. He gave us his full trust to carry our vision for this firm's marketing forward and has also rewarded us for our efforts  with promotions.

 Pace is a firm where you reap what you sow and as long as you put in the work you will be rewarded. Simple as that !  The work environment is very young and modern, and I was pleasantly surprised at this having come from an entirely different industry altogether. There are a lot of intelligent minds around here and it is refreshing to be surrounded by such kind and smart people!  

In the beginning, I was one of the younger people in the office first working as an intern. For me, a typical day was working on whatever business or personal tasks my boss asked me to do. This included things like booking appointments and maintaining the organization of the office. Although I knew my job as an intern did not entail much responsibility, I felt a lack of respect and acceptance from those who were much older than me. Personally, I knew I couldn't relate because many of those who were older were in a different stage of life whereas I am just starting out my career. This sort of environment sometimes made it difficult to enjoy the job even when I was promoted and given more responsibility; I still did not feel accepted. 

However, I did learn a lot as this was my first career-like job. The responsibility I was given made me feel important and apart of the already hardworking team at Pace.

They think cost of living is stagnant. Makes constant promises of unattainable bonuses. Works your hearts out for 2, 5, 8 and 10 years without an increase. They decrease your salary than to increase. The few good ones are the minority without a voice. Dont get comfortable there, they move you around demoralizing staff constantly. Little or no regard for hard workers. Allow their favour staffs to get away. No respect or loyalty to the little man. A very horrible place to work. Walk pass you as if you're invisible or have no value. They are very unethical. Their friends' friend, daughter, son, in laws, grands great grands, uncle niece nephew etc whoever it is, wants a job they raffle which nobody to kick out  and replace you in a blink telling you lies they are restructuring or shortage of work yet by the next day two persons are employed to do the same job. Success built on dumb luck. Good luck working there.

I have great team members that are always willing to help and are very supportive. Part of the reason why I enjoy my job is because my team members make me feel comfortable every time I ask for assistance. Management is filled with kind individuals that take the time to talk to you. In addition, Human Resources always make themselves available for you. They provide us with the option to work from home and also in person.  A typical day at work is completing tasks and by the time you know it your shift is done. Time does fly. Everyone is so friendly with each other. Therefore, you can always reach out to ANYONE for help if you ever need anything. The most enjoyable part of the job is every day is a new learning experience.


In the period of time I worked at Pace, I have seen people being transfered to different teams, staff being demoted, desks being moved, staff being fired only to be called back, lawyers being fired, management change numerous times and several promises to "change" the firm. No structure or stability. Pay is low and good luck getting a bonus. Lawyers pocket it. A clerk there for 3ys and still she never got a raise or bonus. Very greedy firm. New HR is a joke. She acts like she cares but she is not trustworthy. Does she have an HR Degree?! The head honchos are back stabbers. There are good people there though. I left on my own-so my review is not because I'm a disgruntled employee. It really is a disappointing place to work.

 I was a Paralegal Intern at Pace Law Firm, but the onboarding process was handled quite professionally by the HR team as if I were a new hire. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience interning at the firm; and learned quite a lot in the short time working with the Accident Benefits team. In particular, I was fortunate to work closely with two Paralegals who provided me with very detailed and hands-on training.  I was given access to consulting with anyone within the AB team about the role of a Paralegal within the industry. Everyone in the firm from the Receptionists to the President treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism.   I felt as if I had worked there for a long time.

Truly the worst law firm I have ever come into contact with. There's a hierarchy of 44-55 year old lawyers and if you are a new hire who is not a lawyer you will receive no training, no respect, and no communication whatsoever. In my entire time at the firm I did not receive one single minute of training and when asking HR for help quickly realized they are completely useless and prance around in their best clothes and don't have a single useful thing to say. Says you can work hybrid and then gets mad if you actually do it, don't provide even a laptop so you can work from home. Did not have enough characters to mention every bad thing about this firm, too many to even list.  

Pace Law Firm has been my first real work experience and I can honestly say that they have made it quite memorable. Even though I have only been part of the team for a couple of weeks, I feel as though I have adjusted to the role and work culture easily. This is due to the supportive and friendly environment they created. The people here are hardworking but will also take the time to chat with you and get to know you. 

My supervisor has been a tremendous help throughout my time here, always answering any questions I might have as well as checking in with me to see how I'm doing. Ever since I got here I feel as though my opinions and concerns are been heard. Overall, I've had a really positive experience working here.

I have been working at Pace Law Firm over the last 10 years and have developed wonderful working relationships with my colleagues and clients throughout the years. There are many positive things I can say about this company, but the one thing I can say is that they have an outstanding reputation with providing excellent customer service. Pace Law Firm is equipped with sophisticated and experienced lawyers and paralegals who are not afraid to advocate and litigate for their clients. 
I enjoy working at this company because they genuinely care for their staff. Pace Law Firm has an excellent management team who continues to develop policies and procedures to protect their staff and clients, especially during the COVID crisis.
