Fire / Safety equipment services , including commercial building fire equipment , inspections , fire alarm testing , safety lighting upkeep with testing , kitchen fire suppression systems , upkeep with heat link  installs , fire extinguishers hydro tests , reloading , with fire extinguisher replacements . Travel within the city and throughout the provincial area . Public relations with customer services daily , any and all different commercial accounts , to service , monthly and yearly inspection of fire equipment throughout commercial buildings .New accounts , with total installations of automatic fire suppression systems , plus security / safety equipment .

In the time I've spent at PCFE I've never heard technicians try to omit knowledge and help to protect their jobs. The culture is very much "If you know this, we're all better for it." Although the workload can be stressful, the team here puts in immense effort to work together and try to improve the business.

- Workload can be excessive, high stress and demand environment.
- Communication can be difficult with everyone too busy.
- You'll always be struggling on prioritizing family time vs work time.

Almost every employee was unaware of the disjointed, and insecure form of management of materials, or employees. 
 Their demands on any social or home life did not match the appreciation given for keeping employees from getting proper rest, or maintaining proper memory of past work, for billing purposes. No consideration was given for extra efforts, as they were not appreciated, nor recognized, unless a person was a longer term employee. A destabilizing atmosphere existed continually. 

PCFE is a decent company to work for.  They have many large contracts and service large buildings that expose you to many different types of systems.  They also provide service to all areas of fire protection.  Pricing and hourly rates are competitive but service work is also very good by technicians.  PCFE makes a point to hire trained and knowledgeable technicians.

Most enjoyable part about this job is meeting new people every day and making there lives safe. To meet the down and outers and giving them 10 minutes of my crazy day to listen to them and there hard ship and it will bring you back to earth.

PCFE is unfair in paying younger workers (completely based off age and experience) the management is more mismanaged then ever more office staff than actual workers and have no sympathy if you get hurt onsite 🤷‍♂️ This job will take over your life

Loads of stuff to do through out the day. Just becomes hard because everyone is so sensitive and their feelings get hurt easy. Customers are great and understanding.

When someone in head office, didn't like you they made your work life miserable. Even if you did things right, they were never good enough. After awhile there was no enjoyment in the job.

Great place to work, very kind co-workers, just all around a good environment, office staff is always on top of things and always organized as well, would recommend

Complete gong show this is a company without a conscience.The entire sprinkler division up and left all at once. My boss told me he’s done with this and can’t take it anymore
