Ramp position is pretty relaxed but CSA is horrible! Dealing with angry and ungrateful people, especially since you do it a lot when the planes don't land due to weather conditions. The job pays poorly (maybe that's an industry thing, I don't know) and the raise structure isn't anything to brag about. The hours are what THEY want you to work, not what works for your schedule. You work when there are planes, capeesh. They will very likely lay you off/cut back your hours in the off season so no guarantee for full time work year round either. 

The "perks" are a joke since pretty much all employee discounted flights are standby so you can easily get bumped and can't plan anything properly. Benefits are also nothing special--what you'd expect from an entry-level job. 

Only good thing about this job isn't even a PCA-specific benefit; after a time you do get crazy-cheap flight discounts around the world but many airlines offer this so no credit here. 

They make you pay for all of the company clothing and don't do any staff appreciation events, which tells me they don't...actually appreciate their staff. It's sad 'cause I've met some top-level execs in this company and they are really nice people, so I wonder if they know what's happening underneath them... 

Don't waste your time or dignity working for this company. They claim to be all about their employees but they are a corporation through and through. Tags: Top-down, trickle-down, bottom line, business first, #employeesdon'tmatter. You're worth so much more than this. If aviation is your thing, spend the time and become a pilot or ATC; these are ACTUAL careers where you will be respected and your salary will show it.

Hired as a part time on call employee. I worked for the benefits I was told numerous times were amazing. However quickly learned you will never get to use them as they will have you working every day . You are paid for spilt shift 3 hours on each shift no paid breaks. They are an extremely cheap company who does not support their supervisors with the necessities of running a good customer service experience and also no support on having enough staff to work effectively. My supervisor was lovely however her ability to have a sufficient work environment and transparent supportive environment was non existent due to the company’s policies. Also when I quit the position they did not pay me correctly on my last pay so now I will have to fight that battle too. Very misleading company to work for don’t waste your time 

Pacific Coastal Airlines is an exciting place to work. The company is expanding and growing which leads to opportunities for growth and development for hard-working and dedicated employees. With the growth there are lots of new jobs being posted and existing employees are always given the opportunity to apply and be considered before the position is posted externally to the public. 

There is a friendly atmosphere and great team environment. As the company is not too large, senior management is accessible to all employees.

This job shouldn’t be stressful but lower management micromanaged and critiqued me to the point that I left. 
“Do as I say, not as I and everyone else around you does” feels like it best describes how I felt there. 

My location was cliquish and I didn’t feel included by the majority of my peers. 

Most of the flight crew and leadership seemed nice enough. Some pilots do have problems controlling their emotions so you’ll likely witness a tantrum or rude behaviour from time to time. 

If this job had paid more, maybe I’d have been enticed to stay. The discounts on flights are great if you like to travel and don’t mind standby. Other than that, I didn’t see any benefit in staying. 



Started working here several years ago. Company has gone through some real changes and growth through the years. 

A lot of negative comments about management on here, but a lot of that regime has moved on. The wage structure has recently changed and everyone that I work with is really trying to improve all aspects of the business and workplace in general. 

The guys here are all great, I look forward to coming to work for not only the laughs and good nature of my co-workers, but also for the daily challenges that come with the job.

Management and human resources really don’t care about you at all. The misogyny, the back stabbing, it feels like you’re in highs lol again. If you want to know for a fact that you are completely disposable and mean nothing to your company, work here. 
Having a work life balance is impossible but only because they refuse to listen to employees. They build ridiculous schedules that nobody can live off of. They say we “act with integrity and respect” but that only ever applied to very few frontline employees. Management doesn’t follow their own policies. 

Pacific Coastal has a great work culture. It is a fun place to work and you feel like you belong to a family. With their recent expansion into Alberta in partnership with WestJet, there is lots of opportunity to advance and move up in the organization. Although Pacific Coastal only flies within the province of British Columbia, they have industry staff travel discounts with many other airlines so you have access to travel to so many places. They also offer a reasonable RRSP matching program. I would highly suggest working for this company.

The company is slowly growing. It is a good stepping stone for gaining experience and moving up within the company or to get a foot in the door to another company. With an aging fleet, It can be challenging at times to carry out maintenance. Pay scale and other benefits are comparable to larger airlines.

The company makes you do all Westjet’s online training paid but then they make you do all their (Pasco) training too on your own time and if you don’t you get in trouble.The higher ups over work their employees and the airport (Lethbridge) is strict and dosent let the airline work with airport staff, we get constantly overwhelmed with bags and guest and they say you work part time but you are working literally full time hours. At 18$ an hour it’s not bad but for the amazing of training and certifications I’m not sure it’s the best

Poor lower level management (base supervisor) . Poor on the job training . Team morale is low . It was very cliquey .. it felt like a high school work place. Office was cramped , dark, dirty and hot. Pay was poor for the job roll . Schedule was all over the place. Very high turn over rate at the base I worked at for all these reasons .
