What is the best part of working at the company?
We are always learning new things. C'est très stimulant.  We have interesting marginal benefits.  Telework allows me to better reconcile work and family. It is an enriching and fulfilling experience.


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Between members of a work team, communication and interaction through CRTs is not as warm and expressive as communication in person.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great values: culture of excellence, performance and précision. We have to give our all to have a future in the company. We are committed to a process of continuing education.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday, I receive inbound calls from customers. I provide travel information over the phone. I listen to voicemails, read emails and call customers back to help them plan their trips. I check seat availaibility. I explain to them the perks and restrictions of every category of tickets.  I send them their reservations and detailed itinerary. I collaborate with our Reservation Agents Team and I support Travel Agents in their work. I draft lost baggages reports. According to many customers requests I modify the date, origin and destination of their flights. I send them invoices. I make sure their reservations are paid for. I answer questions about IDs, and where is our counter and at what time they should be at the airport, what baggages they can take for their infants, how much it will cost to register their baggage. I handle the special requests of Senior Citizen, disabled travelers, travelers with pets and so much more.

This company is truly an exceptional place to work, and I couldn't be happier with my experience here. From the moment I joined, I felt welcomed and appreciated, and that feeling has only grown stronger over time. The positive and supportive work environment fostered by my colleagues and management team is truly inspiring.

I am consistently impressed by the dedication and passion exhibited by my team members. They are not only incredibly talented and skilled but also genuinely kind and collaborative. Working alongside such a fantastic group of individuals has made my job immensely enjoyable and fulfilling.

My manager plays a significant role in creating this positive atmosphere. They are not only an excellent leader but also a mentor who genuinely cares about my professional growth and development. Their guidance and support have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the opportunities they have provided me.

The hub suites posted on the ads are inaccurate in ways that you will be tasked with other people’s work or work that has nothing to do with the position you’re hired on for. I had 15 different duties. Make sure you read the ad, under the responsibilities, it will state “other duties”. The department I worked at with PAL took great advantage of this. There’s a “not my job” mentality within some of the employees in some departments. 


There are also some toxic employees at PAL with poor attitudes, no communication, unapproachable personalities with some employees, some come off as rude. There’s ALOT of push back from employees towards other employees. My co worker at the time did not want anything to do with what my duties were as I was looking for assistance. Went to my manager, and nothing was done about my concerns. Felt like there was no “team” mentality. 

Depending on what you’re applying for, and which department you’re in will determine your experience with PAL. I’ve gained experience here, met some great people, management are great and friendly.

Also PAL doesn’t pay that great which is a big part of it. 

I was hired to be an offshore ice observer. The training was one of the worst work experiences I've ever had. The training is incredibly difficult and they will not take the time to try and teach you or help you. They let me write my tests alone but that was the only support. There was no other help. This company claims they are there for its employees but they are not. The instructor was at least a half hour late every morning and every lunch almost every day. He was incredibly unprofessional. The things he talked about I would only talk about in the comfort of my own friends not in what's supposed to be a professional work environment. He spoke negatively about different races which left me feeling very uncomfortable. The whole place was very unprofessional. The management are a close knit clique. They seem to be kind and compassionate but are actually ruthless if you can't perform to their high standards. I was very excited for this opportunity but I was totally let down by the way they operate their training. I hope they do better for future candidates. For years I wanted to work with Pal but after this experience I can honestly say that if you can find employment elsewhere, you're better off.

work/life balance? they just want you to work for them, no questions, just do as they say. And MUST be on their schedule(which is changed daily!!)
Salary/Benefits? Salary is low at best, the pay(salary or hourly) is cheap, don't expect no big raises, no matter how hard you work. Or how much you do for them. 
Job Security/Advancement? HA HA!! They fire you at will, if the higher ups like you, you'll last a little longer, but if even one of them don't, you can say goodbye. Advancement only comes if you know some of the higher ups; no special treatment here unless your related or besties. And no chance of getting a good job, they do the hiring for the better paying jobs without posting, or go external!
Management? The good ones(very few) are hidden and don't have a chance to interact with the employees because they are loaded with way to much work. The rest? Can do what they want, when they want, to whomever they want, with no repercussions, Because they can.(TOO MANY CHEIFS, NOT ENOUGH INDIANS)
Culture? They lower end of ladder staff (The ones that get crapped on) are the BEST! Moral in the company is not good, at all, but the staff at the bottom are the BEST.

What is the best part of working at the company?
A lot of growth and change.  If you are inventive you can carve out opportunity for yourself.  As all regulated industries it can be a bit challenging for one reason or another.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Feast or Famine.  When things change, they change fast and scale up quickly.  Some decisions are made without some real thought of downstream complications, but its it the top end of a Medium Size business.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally good.  Some tensions exist but if you keep an open dialogue and try to be a part of a solution, it usually isn't an issue.   

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Office position so I work all day but there is a lot of unoffical 'on call' for many andt its still expected without being formally done.

I liked working there but occasionally felt abandoned by supervisors. You better have the skills they need, because they will not invest in your training. I was laughed at when I asked about a course, and was told to keep dreaming when I asked about getting ACA. Very few happy people on the floor. I learned a bit about the planes I worked on, but felt they could have made better use of my experience. Lots of time wasted at stores even for the most basic hardware. Easy enough to keep busy, if you try at all. They will fire people in a matter of days, but not without reason.


morale? non existant.  
pay? not competitive.
management? clueless and inept.
coworkers? good people, but miserable.
hangar condition? filthy.
job satisfaction?  twice a year they buy us pizza.
benefits? Twice a year they buy us pizza.
professional development?  they dont send ppl on courses so don't even ask.

This place will sap your drive, and take the wind right out of your sails. On the bright side, when you do leave, this place will make anywhere else you work, feel like a dream job.   

Do your research before applying please. It will save you a lot of heartbreak.   They have high turnover and poor retention for a reason.

There are surely many reviews here about how it is to work here, so I won't comment on that. I enjoy the work. The level of compassion they have for their workers, however, is below anything I have ever seen. 

When a parent died suddenly after a month long hospital stay for a malignant tumour, I thought bereavement leave would surely cover my next rotation off. Because I work a certain rotation, I had the next 5 days off after my parent passed away. Coincidentally, these were the only 5 days they offered. The next 5 days I was expected to work and had no paid leave.

Very inhuman to be so strict regarding a policy in a time like this.

Thing you may need to know before working for Pal Aerospace:

- Policy and procedures are for non Management only.
- You will be hired for you experience , but you are not aloud to use it.
- If you like to make thing better for you and your co-workers and the Management did not come up with the idea, forget it.
- If you are not in the "GANG" people there with 20 years or more you soon will let go.
- If you like not knowing if you you will still have a job in the morning work here. Hire and lay off staff on a daily bases.
- If you like working for a company at likes wasting money on various mistakes(just get it done attitude, Management way)
