I am a recent former employee and I'm not really sure where to begin. Here goes...
All lower-level hirings are done through temp agencies and the turnover rate is staggering!
Poor candidates get hired just bc the talent pool of these hiring agencies are so thin. These types are cycled in and out monthly. This puts extra strain on the workers who have somehow managed to put up with it. If management stopped going through temp agencies, this wouldn't be an issue. 
Wages very low for a very long time. Most started at $14/hr and remained there until recently when the minimum wage hike was introduced. Now, new hires can expect to make $15/hr. Still very low considering the size of the company. However, it's mostly a very relaxed environment, so maybe that's the difference. If you're a decent worker, you'll be hired on full-time and you'll get decent benefits. There's also nice things like social committee functions, company outings, clothing/boot allowance etc.
The real problem with this place is management. There is a massive lack of appreciation from one individual that unfortunately oversees much of the operation. Others opinions mean nothing to him, even though the others are the ones who are doing the job day in and day out. 
Other than that, the shifts are good. Generally, operating hours are between 6am and 330pm.
In conclusion, if you can deal with subpar wages, and a total disconnect with management, this place is decent

A typical day at work consist of 50-60 phone calls from all over North America and Mexico. These calls were in regards to pricing, delivery dates of both heavy equipment and parts dept along with warranty problems.
I found this job very rewarding from not only personel satisfaction but from the team effort that went into making financial posperity for the company.
The hardest part of my job was trying to deal with some of the internal politics, I have always believed that honesty may hurt, but, at the end of the day will prove itself.

There was never a "typical" day at work. That is part of what i enjoyed about working there. It was always changing. 

I learned a great deal about building cranes, working for a board, refining my skills. i.e. lean manufacturing, communication etc...

The hardest part of the job was juggling the day to day work with trying to build for the future.

The most enjoyable part was getting to see my hard work come to reality.

The person that is 2nd in charge is borderline illiterate.
The warehouse it self is old,dirty and dark
There is a drug problem in the production area and certain people let it go 
i.e. second in charge.There is no workplace culture.
The hardest part of the job is how old this place is. 
The most enjoyable part is leaving or turning down the position

No salary increased last 3 years. learning lot of things about offshore crane under international working environment, project management skill, communication skills.

A place to work but male superior. Foreign company. 
Just a place for them to make their money, no profit sharing. 
Can learn a lot if you ask. Growing company but owners credit North America for profits but nothing to give back to employees.

I enjoyed the job itself ... however management wasn’t run properly. People who have been there many years and not in management had more say then the acting manager which wasn’t right! This caused problems and a lot of unnecessary confrontations and uncomfortable situations. 
Besides the unprofessional drama, the job was good!

My job was always different.
I learned a lot about the assembly and modification of knuckle-boom cranes.
My co-workers were very helpful and fun to work with.
The hardest part of my job was the security of not knowing about lay-offs etc..

I can only say there are some amazing people that work at Palfinger and to this day, still consider many I worked with my friends.
High calibre.

Picking parts for assembly line, warehouse very dusty and dirty shelves,  lots of parts picking outside in the elements.. parts outside very unorganized. Accuracy is very important, lack of will effect bonus.
