During the work day you would have to assist the journeymen scaffolder in errecting and dissmantaling scaffolds. There was alot of physical labour. I learned different types of knots and the different gear and the hand signals dealing with each piece of equipment. the management and co workers were a great group of people to work with. The hardest part of the job was getting a buig job done in such short little time, mostly during shutdown. The most enjoyable part was the people i worked with made the job a fun and safe workplace.

This position allowed me to experience the oilfield industry first hand. It was a position that offered me a challenge, allowed me to work hard but safely, and to learn new aspects of the industry and job. I was also able to work with an excellent team, but also on my own occasionally.

I have worked at extereme heights.  The hardest thing was conquering my fear of heights in the beginning then the next was getting use to repetative tasks as well as learning from other experienced workers to be able to mentor and teach new workers.

Just started my scaffolding apprenticeship and very new to the oil and gas industry, I met alot of hard working people and high quality work.they made it easy and clear what my job duties were.overall good work experience

Work there throughout the years at CNRL & Fort Hills, AB, very poor management and lower paying wages compared to other companies on the same site. I found management at CNRL was by far better then Fort Hills, AB. The management at Fort Hills were mostly ignorant or a bunch off brown noses.

Was a very hard company to get ahead with if you weren’t from Newfoundland or New Brunswick,at least for scaffolding but because they gleamed good scaffolders during economically depressed times it looked like a good company but really was not.I mean nickname was pots an pans for a reason 

this was a company that two brothers looked after and were the best people anyone could ever worked for the days went fast and they worked just as hard as you the management was spot on we work as one big family it was a joy to work for this company

again a very early start and not much training provided. management was good for the most part and workplace culture was challenging at times. the hardest part of the job was not knowing it was a temporary position and the most enjoyable was working with some of the people.

not the best company for supervision but they try its clicky an some of the people should not be in the positions there in thats for sure.

Worked with and met a variety of different people, some good friends, was a fun place to work and learned quite a lot from everyone who worked there. Got to learn some insulating but did mostly driving and labour work.
