Working with PH was a nightmare.  I received minimal training and was then thrown into working by myself, and was expected to lift and transfer extremely heavy clients while single staffed.  I repeatedly asked for more training and support, at which time I was told that "other people can do this without complaining, so why can't you?".  I had genuine fears that I would injure myself or the clients with no one to assist us.  The management tried to make me re-write my orientation review, because I called them out for not providing adequate training or staffing.  I worked my tail off while I was there, and had to put up with rude, cliquey staff who had no interest in helping me get a hang of the position.  Management expects one person to support numerous clients (all living in separate units in a building), most of whom are in wheelchairs and need full care and transferring support.  Not only is this unsafe, it's illegal.  The other staff I worked with were miserable, lazy, bullies.  Everyone seemed to hate their lives and I'm so glad I quit.  The pay is not worth it at all.

PH likes to boast about being amazing, inclusive, client-friendly and "good to their staff". They pay you the bare minimum to completely wring you dry, burn you out, and when you can't preform as well as they'd like they let you go or make your shifts harder than they need to be.
Management is out to get you and is incredibly cliquey. They favor some staff and treat the others like they're disposable. The agency head is aware of their senior coordinators treating staff like human slaves and does nothing. If you are a full-time staff they will bend over backwards to cover for you, but as a part-time staff (which is 90% of the agency because it takes 5+ years of seniority to even be considered for a full-time position) you are treated as disposable. 
They don't care about the people they support as much as they say they do, as they let terrible staff stay in their positions even after being reported countless times for misconduct. 

•	Provided supervision and support for adults with brain injuries and developmental disabilities
•	Responsible for transferring patients between beds and lift devices, assisted with feeding, meal preparation, personal hygiene, and general housekeeping
•	Performed accurate and detailed record keeping of patients’ activities, issues, and personal needs on an hourly basis
•	Collaborated with peers to ensure effective operation of the facility by resolving scheduling conflicts and contributing to preparation and dissemination of communications

I wouldn’t recommend PH they don’t value their workers and that’s why they are in the situation their in now. They treat part time workers like garbage the work is heavy load and we aren’t paid properly. The people with seniority always get first dibs on shifts and when it comes time to work they call in and NO DISCIPLINE is done. But they call part time workers 24/7 to fill those shifts. 

They fired a supervisor because she raised her voice a little to a client because he took a knife on another client 
This place is a JOKE AND I WILL NEVER WORK THERE AGAIN!

Participation house Toronto Ontario is a stressful company to work for, the management is ridiculous and thinks they are better than anyone else. The manager is rude and doesn't know how to speak to his staff, . There schedule changes every two weeks and they want you to run from site to site and staff gossip about each other.. Terrible atmosphere and environment and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. 

I would dispense medications. Take care of all personal needs for individuals.Take individuals out into the community. I learned the need for homes for indivials with disabilities. How to provide long term care. Co-workers for the most part were great to work with. Good team work. The most enjoyable part of job was how rewarding to assist individuals in having the moost fulfilling and rewarding life.

Its a very busy job and some days even busier than normal, but the team you work with is amazing, everyone is extremely helpful and can make a work day fly by with laughter and humour. Very organized and well put together organization, everyone is willing to work rather than delagate and do nothing. Awesome opportunity for sure.

Great organization built on the foundation of helping other in need. Living up to the reputation of keeping the tenants as independant as possible in there own homes but with 24/7 access to help when required.

•	Ensure the wellbeing of the individuals, emergency procedures

PSS has by far been the most enjoyable experience as being a PSW.  Staff are friendly,  management is considerate to situations and supportive. It's been amazing learning new skills and working with amazing clients.
