I was fortunate to have a great Manager.  The leadership team worked very hard to ensure the success of the team.  As a Producer, I found most of my colleagues willing to assist.  I was not successful in this position. I put that down to a host of reasons - but I do not fault my colleagues or leadership team.  If you have a connection to a market sector looking for Commercial Insurance options you would do well to work with the team at PBL.

-manager had favourites, if you were a favourite you had it made, if you were not, you were treated very differently.
-met a lot of great/knowledgeable people
-HR member not overly professional
-company outings/parties were fun

At PBL, I was part of the Garage and Towing Program. I feel I had a great team to work with. I had my own book of business over $3 million in premiums. Day to day tasks included servicing customer requests (adding/removing drivers, adding/removing vehicles, etc.), inspection recommendations, etc.

Did not enjoy my time with PBL as it was very hard to learn to move up.  Very clique.  It was difficult to help clients with the brokers didn't help.  Was let go without cause at 2:30 the day before my probation was up with no reason and was treated like a criminal and escorted out of the building my male staff.

I started working here because my dad and sister work for the company. I liked being a receptionist because I truly felt like I was making a difference in the office and that people's jobs were made easier because of my work.

Highly stressful environment.

Senior management makes promises that they do not keep - they promote disorder and underhanded behaviour and allow toxic narcissistic personalities to thrive at the expense of others.

I have never worked for a company that had zero interest in the concerns of their employees. Even formal complaints - and there were many. We had a mass exodus due to this fact.

Answer phones, take payments from customers for their insurance policy, print insurance slips, update commercial company vehicule inventory, working as a team member

Truly enjoyed working at PBL. The environment and people really make PBL stand out as an Employer. 
The most enjoyable part of my job was interacting with the amazing clients.

Although I didn't work here long, it was a great company to work for. They provide you with the right tools and resources to constantly better and improve your insurance skills.
