PC Cooking School

I am a creative  enthusiastic hard  working individual. I embrace new challenges  and work well  in a team. A typical day at the cooking school  would start of  by ensuring all ingredients  and products are present in order to prepare the samples for the customers. I used my  culinary skills and training to prepare appetizing  dishes.
I prepared hors d'oeuvres, and different types of meat  entrees. 
I also ensured guidelines were followed using the health and safety precautions.  
I learned to work well  in a team and  also  excelled in my communication skills. I spoke to various customers answered questions and  incisively. Management at the my work place always appreciated my hard work  and  were very pleased with my ability to sell and draw in crowds. I work  very well in team and also took my own initiative and work well individual. My  least favorite part of working there would be cleaning up.

it is a very fun work environment to work in, it is like being at home cooking for your family and friends, A very comfortable working environment. I am always learning new things from the chefs that come in to tech the different classes that I assist at. I get to learn new cooking techniques and different skills from the chefs. It is also always a privilege to get to eat the wonderful delicious food that is made by the skilled chefs.

I don’t get many shifts. Not very consistent and sometimes the manager is a bit disorganized. Takes long to get paid and you must hand in your own hours. But I love the work environment and I still work there. It’s a good job for someone who is quite busy and can only work on the rare occasion. It’s a good starting job.

Loved the job and co workers but getting 4 to 8 hrs a week not nice. Manager needs training on how to be a manager, make proper decisions, how to lead.  Honestly get a backbone and deal with issues not panic and avoid leaving the staff to try and solve it when it's not their responsibility.

If you enjoy cooking this is the job for you. Gained tons of experience working with different chefs. Can be high pressure at times but that just foods with the food industry. Worked in a collaborative team environment. Manager gave me sufficient training and was very helpful in answering any questions I had. 

Great place to work as well as learn ago the way. School field trips and day camps are always fun. Adult classes are amazing with real chefs. Nice to be appreciated by all students from school trips, day camps, birthday parties and adult class students.

Work typically consisted of running birthday parties, summer camps and also children's cooking class. During the summer, it was quite busy with weekly camps and weekend parties but during rest of the year, it was inconsistent.

I really enjoyed my time here and the pay was minimum wage however we were not employees we were vendors so no money was put towards CPP or anything, The people I worked with were some good some very not good

Great workplace. The management was professional and friendly. It was an enjoyable position working with children and food, teaching them recipes and  cooking skills.

It is an enjoyable place to work but as a back up I am not given many hours. The hardest part is writing out the food lists. The most enjoyable part is being around the children that come in for classes.
